So hard on sharks despite the cheap price tags, especially with sales. Keep in mind the self empty dock is Hepa, unlike most other cheap vacs with self empty docks. Vacuum Wars tested the difference between the Hepa and non-heapa emptying docks and the difference is startling. I think especially this new lidar shark is one of the best bang for the bucks when it's on sale, by far. Shark also has great customer service. My old Shark AI might be dumb as a rock, but it does its job and shark has replaced it once no-questions-asked when it had its roller brush malfunction after getting a cat toy stuck in it. Any other company would be like "you broke it, tough poop". I called asking if they have parts that could fix it and they just were like "no, give address, we'll send you another". It was like 2 years old. New one arrived quick in entirely new retail box. They're great over there. Even if their app is pretty bad and the bot is a little dumb. Lol. Just needs to clean on schedule and clean well, which it does IMO.

Totally agree. I upgraded to the Lidar self empty and wish I would have waited for this one. The edge cleaning on previous models was a joke. I feel like they should give me my money back but it’s too late. Lidar great, self empty great and edge cleaning now better but not great. If they upgrade the software with the perimeter clean at the end, I may have to get it. I don’t use mine now because I have to clean again anyway.

I know this video is 2 yrs old but just FYI I Love mine, I replaced the single side brush with the 3 brushes and it works amazing, for the corners The APP could definetly use an update after the 2 yrs of customer requests. Thanks for the video.

What would be interesting, is once it was done, if you ran it a 2nd time, to see if it got what it moved back to the edges, and finished the job perfectly

That's definitely interesting that the edge blower actually works. I'm still waiting to see the mopping video part of this pupper. Mainly because I've only seen it in a couple of videos but not very detailed on it. You usually have a really well done mop detailed video. I still find the Roomba mopping video part where it slipped on the ketchup then accidentally wiped it up was hilarious

Just for all the features and innovation I think this is a great robot even for $699 I mean it has everything and even more that others don't. The mop isn't useless like on other robot vacuums that's just drag a towel, in this price range. The only negative is no 3D front obstacle avoidance, it still does have ir sensors but it's not that great with small objects like cables but I feel like that's a good trade off to keep the price down.

I am testing out the Eufy L35, so far it’s doing a great job. Has 2 side brushes and does the perimeter first and zig zag patterns. Mops well too. Was on sale for 230$!

Sharks clean well, but their app looks like it's written by 5th graders.

I'd like to see more of how the map in the app looks/works. The one with the shark IQ is frustrating because the maps don't look accurate and they take a while to delete, you get to sit there looking at the loading screen while it deletes the crappy map. This shark AI should make good maps since it uses lidar but you never know, they could have bad software. Also I'd like to see whether this vacuum runs over your feet if you don't move...the old IQ has done it to me a good few times, again the lidar should help it see an obstacle so it doesn't run over feet but who knows if it works well in that. Thanks for the update on the vacuum. I'm probably going to wait until it's on a better sale or until it gets price drop when they come out with a newer model. I was thinking about last years model @$320 on sale but the wife wants the new side blower.

I will say, this is probably one of the more innovative robots for that edge clean idea. Not the biggest fan of Shark, their past robots just were ok (not great, but better than some of the "dumb" bots...that's not saying much 🤣) Switching to Lidar was a good move for them, their vslam bots got lost way too often. I just wish they would improve their software and App experience, so many other companies just blow them out of the water on this.

Is this particular model a mop and a vacuum on Amazon it says it is? And this is the only model that has LiDAR?

Shark quality is typically subpar. Also I won't go bagless for a robot vacuum, I just find it pretty gross.
