I think his age was not the problem here. In fact his age got him respect and saved him from harsher comments. His unnecessary humour, not letting others speak, not answering questions directly, very expensive toys, boasting about his brand and business in weired manner(like aap chal ke dekho humse log kaise baat karte hain) etc.. These things were just not pleasant..

Aman bolta h ki Humko bank smjha h toh reality mein funding from investor is credit only which is subject to risk. He export toys to China the world leading mkt is itself a testimony of doing great business. 70 ki umar mein 40 cr mi company establish krna is not a joke jo startup culture mein company band ho jaati h. He didn't any guidance and if someone who is into specific industry for 30 yrs needs guidance then he is deemed failed business person. Think objectively , he didn't get funding because A) age factor b) he was a more strong personality then investors .

I was sensing self obsession in his pitch from the beginning. I felt glad when Vineeta actually politely and honestly conveyed the same to him. There are two great ladies standing beside him but he didn't let either of them speak anything about the business. His commitment towards his work ethics is amazing and that's something youngsters like myself should learn from him. That said, a business runs primarily on team work. Everyone deserves recognition and have a space for themselves to voice their opinions. An entrepreneur should be ready to listen, learn from feedbacks and look forward to adapt if required.

@@techie5345 that is there but if this is in reference to the sharks not investing, then you have to know that their equity holding is not sorted and and God forbid if something happens to him then things will be chaotic. Investors likes to see clear exit plan for then. It's not a charity tank but a business tank. Indian investors are still softer than foreign investor if you do some research

Vineeta's remarks lack courtesy and are appalling. I'm not sure if she has had any experience in dealing with the elderly, but that's how a lot of aged people talk and it is not a reflection of self absorption. You see, they come from a different era and have a way to communicate which is a lot different from ours. If she doesn't wish to invest there are far more respectable ways to convey that. There was no room for getting personal with a man of that age. Anupam and Ritesh did not invest either, but they conducted themselves in a pedigreed fashion, which for me, remains the key take away from this episode.

I extremely liked the humble way to say no, and i resonate with all sharks about the gentleman leading ,(a company runs with a team/ a good company runs with team with good leadership ) I will like to save this video as self reference, on what to avoid in decades to come.

I think the problem is that the Old guy is not willing to scale it up, he is trying his old tactics, i even doubt if he wanted to raise capital. I think he should pass on the business or just like he said sell it off to someone passionate to kill in this market.

I guess it's ok they think about their pockets but jab uncle ne bola they keep on rejecting for age i guess thoda help kar dena sahi hota and kaha ja raha ki woh 5 sal mei bench denge he was thinking according to his age jo galt nhi hai aur he not able to trusting ki aage agar isko koi duba de ki mei sell kar du. His thinking is okay but i feel sharks should help him in little amount i might look wrong but this what i feels.

Sometimes it’s not always about money .. that man standing right there in his 70 must have gone through tone of things is still hoping for a way to help his business .. sharks have invested there money in lot of conceptual business and ideas that who knows will work or not .. but that uncle’s business is well established profitable all he needed was some help to push through .. he might have been difficult to handle to but that can be same case with the young entrepreneurs who wouldn’t listen to anybody .. you can’t just define that based on age .. uncle is pretty clear that until he is alive he will grow business he is not giving sharks any high hopes or shitty commitments that even after he is not there the company will grow Coz he knows he can’t assure that ..

At 70 what else do you expect from a person? You should've politely asked him if her niece would like to have this discussion. He's sharing his lifetime experience and he shouldn't be judged. If I ever reach that age and have this much of brains I'll survive well ❤️‍🩹
