The banking situation is a reminder that Fed hikes are having an effect, even if the economy has held up so far,” It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. Very true, people downplay advisors role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, my stagnant reserve of $325K has yielded nearly $1m after subsequent investments so far.

Global financial markets have been significantly impacted by SVB's demise, prompting investors to sell off bank equities hastily and reevaluate their interest rate expectations. I am a $350,000 investor who is at a crossroads and wondering if it is wise to hold onto securities that are losing value. I want guidance on the best approaches to maximizing my returns in this negative market.

It is unlikely that the market will experience big gains anytime soon in light of the latest developments involving SVB, therefore it is prudent to set reasonable expectations and get ready for a potentially protracted recovery period. It is advised to postpone making big investment decisions until the economic climate in areas of concern has stabilized. It is best to take precautions and stay out of the current disturbance.

During market downturns, investors should remain committed to reputable companies by maintaining or growing their investments, as well-managed businesses eventually regain their former strength. To find the best entry and exit points for long-term gains from stock appreciation, get advice from a financial expert. Gains from working with an investing advisor can be substantial, as was demonstrated during the pandemic when a gain of $530k in just 8 months was realized.

The negative impact of SVB and SI debacles has been reflected in the regional bank ETF (KRE) which has witnessed a decline of over 20%. This event has triggered contagion effects, dragging the entire market lower. However, historically speaking, a localized and narrow contagion of this nature presents an opportune time to invest in strong, financially stable companies with substantial cash reserves on their balance sheets.

Our time had reached its zenith, and it is now over. Everything not just banks collapsing, Stock including 401Ks, are suffering from the recession and crashes. My $750K retirement equity portfolio is losing money. Because of inflation, I keep losing. Similar to how Rome fell under its despotic emperors, this world will also. I will advice you to stick with a good adviser by either not selling when it’s going lower or buying more at that time. Almost always the good well managed companies will come back strong at some point. In other hand The average investor buys/holds for long term to make gains when stocks go up, In a situation where you're after such profit, it is best to get in touch with an investment professional to guide you with entry and exit points. SVB's failure comes as no surprise. American bankers have proved time and again that they lack the necessary critical judgment skills when it comes to assessing long term risk. Any attempt to govern them will always be met with vigorous push back. I am very much a capitalist but given the bane of human nature (greed & ego), ungoverned capitalism is an existential threat. These financial "experts" egos will never allow them to admit that their own insatiable greed brought about their ignoble demise.

It a good solution in the short term and something similar was done during the 08 crisis. The taxpayer made money and after a few years the Feds no removed the guarantee

Yes during the Obama Administration regulations were put into banks that they had to keep a certain amount of money set aside for this very situation, yet in 2018 Trump terminated the safety regulation. I disagree with the Federal Reserve raising the rate at this time because our economy is not as bad as people are making it out to be. Honestly they say if people think we are in a recession we become in a recession, but if they think we are not , then we usually aren't. Most of the inflation we have right now is due to corporate greed going unchecked because they know people think inflation is occurring so they're putting their prices up because they know people are expecting it. Trump removed a lot of regulations, also for the Safety a braking systems and trains which resulted in the recent disaster in Palestine. They actually had bragged about the new braking system they were about to put in but when it was no longer required of them, they decided that it would be less costly if a disaster did happen because then the government would just clean up after it. I know they gave President Biden a hard time because of all the executive orders he did when he came into office but most of them were reinstating a lot of the regulations that Trump had cut. I worry about what other disasters are looming because of regulations that the former Administration decided to do away with. We also have an extremely Republican and pro-corporate Supreme Court now who decided that the EPA and OSHA have no business enforcing their regulations on companies in order to keep clean the air and water and that is something that should be up to Congress and almost nothing gets done there. I'm not even sure if Congress is going to put back in place the regulation for the banks that Trump took away because of the Republican house that doesn't actually like to solve problems they just like to look at things that are going wrong and blame the administration so they can own the Libs rather than actually trying to help people in America

While O'Leary's focus was on the long term effect of this bailout, the more important issue was depositors (VCs and startups) not diversifying their assets. O'Leary claimed that he tells his companies to not have more than 20% of their money in any one institution. If the companies using SVB had followed this advice, there wouldn't be any of this noise about not meeting payroll.

These headlines are reassuring ?🤔 You mentioned Jesus... here's what he said about our time: Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs. Luke 21:10, 11 And... "But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:13,14 The end it's speaking of is the end of human rule/governments. God's Kingdom is the only answer to all of these problems. It's coming. Jesus also foretold that all life on earth would come under the very real threat of total annihilation. Where do things stand? Have his words come true? "for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short." Matthew 24:21,22 Christ's prophecy above serves as a marker showing where we are in the stream of time. He foretold what we are currently witnessing. And Daniel said this... "In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever." Daniel 2:44 God's Kingdom government is the only answer. It will soon take over events on earth, before we destroy ourselves and the planet. So, yes, I have hope for the future. But not in any way based on human governments. Their destruction is imminent.

Once again, it's only an issue of you are forced to sell it. SVB situation was and is VERY unique, to say nothing about how much we learned through the Great Recession. Any attempt by investors/ analysts hinting otherwise is just paranoid BS. We don't have rampant fraud running through the system like before. SVB experienced a run on deposits for reasons that are baffling, including market irrationality. The realized loss they had was peanuts to the overall size of the company
