You can still be successful with your business if people know who YOU are and you keep on building your reputation with it. Charge how much you want to charge and keep tips as well or you can partner up with another upcoming or successful musician maybe in a different genre and you two can team together. First couple went from [400 k for 25%] to [500 k for 40%] when they should have negotiated [40% for 640k] to leverage Mark / Wonderful's initial valuation. They lost 140 k in 3 minutes. Conclusion: always do your maths guys ...
