Thiago Alcantara is a horror shout. He’s in the starting 11 when he’s fit, him and Fabinho are the cemented places and we haven’t lost a match with both of them playing together. Thiago was crucial in us getting top 4 last year, he’s been solid this year and only recently injured again

Liverpool have won 15 out of the 16 games Thiago and Fabinho started together. His performances are excellent still. You can’t call him overrated just unfit.

With Thiago and Fabinho we are more flexible.Keita, Elliot,Hendo,Ox and Cujo shine in the advanced role.Klopp can play 4-2-4,which turns into 2-2-8 later in the game, with trent and Robbo in advanced positions when a team is sitting back

Why are people surprised about Valdes changing the way keepers play. Valdes was instructed to play on the feet only when Pep joined in 2008. When Pep joined Bayern, Neuer took it to another level. I'm a City fan and I think Jesus is our most underrated player. Never shown much love by our own fans . But his runs ability to play in space good passer obviously can score and his WORKRATE is phenomenal

His pressing is so so important. Anytime we need a goal or need energy, Jesus comes on and changes the game. Foden too, the only reason Jesus doesn’t get love is because he was incorrectly named a striker.

As a Chelsea fan top 5 CB sure - Van Dijk and Matip + Laporte and Diaz have a shout to be ahead and then he's not even our best CB Silva is. Top 3 i over rated. I'd argue 4th / 5th / 6th - top 4 1. VVD 2. Silva 3. Diaz then out of Matip, Rudiger and Laporte they are fighting it out for top 4

Ederson is a terrible shout tbh. There is the occasional mistake, but let’s not act like he hasn’t saved City with saves on multiple occasions. City aren’t City without Ederson. He is one of the main reasons that teams are scared to press City. It’s ok for his best attribute to be his feet if he’s the best in the world at that.

That's the thing. Alisson and de gea are obviously better shotstoppers but city wouldn't be city with either of them. It's a different game when you have to press the gk because he can be a threat with the ball. Man's just don't understand football sometimes

@@Tomas1999Benfica exactly, I’d take joe hart over ederson for a 1v1 and penalty. But for a season? Ederson everyday he makes us so much more dangerous and most rival fans can’t accept he’s the best at the role he plays. He’s still young in goalkeeper terms, got many years left in him

His high positioning, which is more a coaching and tactical thing than it is ability, also keeps up from having 1v1s a lot because he doesn’t allow breakaways. He is exactly what we need. And you can’t be exactly what Manchester City needs and not be borderline world class.

You shouldn’t judge ratings based off price tags. Sometimes clubs get held to ransom & just pay the money bc of fan pressure & bc they rlly want the player. I’m sure the City bosses know that Grealish was never £100M but they firmed it bc they wanted him & they have the money to do so (same goes for Newcastle & C.Wood)

Thiago has been Liverpool’s best midfielder MULTIPLE times this season, no way is he overrated man. Injuries have hampered his progress but when he’s fit, he’s cemented in the team. There’s a crazy stat somewhere that liverpool haven’t lost a game (or many at all compared to when he hasn’t played) when he’s started with Fabinho

I think he might actually be better suited as a striker 80-90% of the game the man make BADDDD decisions. He’s a ball hog with not that much skill. His best skill is finding a goal in and around the box. So people see his goals and think he’s good. Man Utd fan and I’m usually pissed when he gets the ball. I know this is likely going in the stands or to the other team

He's just a flair player that Liverpool fans get excited about because they're not used to seeing a midfielder that can actually pass. That's not enough to play for Spain. Thiago, at international level, is finished. Your analogy is actually the opposite. Saying Thiago is better than Pedri and Gavi is like saying Trippier is better than Trent and Reece James. Faisal is wrong about reguilon. We didn’t sell because he wasn’t good it was to raise funds. Gutierrez hadn’t played a single minute for us at that time and wasn’t part of why we sold him. He was outstanding for Sevilla but we had to get some money and we chose mendy over him because of how good he was.
