This BARLA National cup quarter final didn't go the distance with the referee abandoning the game 10 minutes early after Frystons FIFTH dismissal left them with only 8 players on the field. Sharlston were winning 38-24 at the time.

Dont know which team was which but it seemed to me the blue team tried to win by playing rugby.....The red team tried to stop them winning by beating the living fuck out of them.

These two contested the final the previous year. Sharlston won a decent game by 2 points. Looks like Fryston turned up seeking playground revenge, rather than by playing better rugby.

The first fight was a brain explosion from both sides, 20 with the forearm was uncalled for but there was no need for the red team lad to go wild and throw the ball away and land a few on him.

dislecksick When the majority of Union is taught, played and attended by past and present day Private School choir lads of course the culture is different. I'm not even having a dig by saying that. League players are all brought up in poorer parts of the country in public schools. It's a rougher upbringing.
