Of course my cousin recognized her. When the door closed, my cousin who tried to be inconspicuous quietly whispered to my brother, “kuya, si cherie gil.” My brother, who didn’t really grow up in the Philippines but knew who the actress was did not get starstruck but acknowledged the actress by just nodding and smiling. Cherie Gil was just giggling at the way my cousin tried not to be heard or noticed. Cherie Gil the whole time was just smiling and even said to have a good day. Very classy lady.
