Cops roam the streets on their shift. There are always cops not on a call around to show up to a scene, other crimes happening in the area or not. The less crime, the fewer cops. Police budgets and employment numbers are based on crime statistics in each county. I live in Chicago on the east side, I see a cop car dozens of times a day. Out in the suburbs I might see one 🤷🏿‍♂️
