Sharpay just wants to improve her point and wants everyone to feel the same way she is feeling, after what they did to her in the second movie and she does it for obvious reasons.

@@caitlinsparkle7717 sharpay already won the star dazzle award numerous times. Sharpay is the one that banned everyone from the talent show, including her own brother in the second movie, because she doesn't want anyone to have a chance to beat her. She knows if she lets Troy and Gabriella perform that, they'll automatically win. Also, in the 3rd movie, it's her fault Troy Gabriella left in the first place, thus leaving her with Troy's understudy, and she was supposed to stay in character, which she didn't do thus ruining her chances at Julliard. She is a great character, and her character development in her movie is good, but she was the mean girl in all three high school musical movies.

Too bad you all wasted this character in HSM3. Sharpay was the best character, and her role was severely diminished in this film. It’s unfortunate since Ashley Tisdale was the best part of the series (which the reviews and awards clearly show).
