@bradbuckner9496Ай бұрын
@@mattnejmanowski631 decided not to go to Blade. The waiting list is just too long to get in as a vendor. Pay for the plane pay for the hotel pay for the rental car pay to get in make no money off of it and if I get caught selling anything at the show without being a table purchasing vendor, I get kicked out for a couple years. just doesn’t make any sense to me. And a sissy knife, is just two polished and honed to be in a real man’s pocket where you go out and do hard work every day as an EDC.

You know its good when you wife says hey this is dull.....then you hit it with SharpensBest and she cuts her finger...lol
@doransponsel48133 ай бұрын
What cracks me up is him talking about how a properly sharpened knife wont hold an edge, when in reality its the exact opposite. Watch outdoors55 when he properly sharpens a dollar store knife and cuts a 2x4 for 10 minutes and it still cuts paper afterward. This thing creates a jagged burr that will cut things but as soon as you run it through something beside paper it will fold over and its dull again. Not to mention the horizontal scratch pattern on the bevel, eliminating the teeth that form at the apex through actual sharpening with a stone. I would put money down that a knife sharpened on a stone to 1k grit and stropped would outcut the same knife "sharpened" by this thing. Im talking sharpness and longevity of said sharpness.
@bradbuckner9496Ай бұрын
Yeah. Rubbing the heel of the bevel on the wood and not the apex. What a fraud. And you R just dumb.
@prosunsport1Ай бұрын
Pull through not top sure I think the weight pressure is critical and most people apply top much downward force which rips the edge
@bradbuckner9496Ай бұрын
You and I would get along. You have a brain. A lot of people that use pull through Sharpeners are of very low, intelligence. Thank you for watching and have a great day.

Did I just waste my money buying whetstones and strop kit? Damn!
@bhsouthernoutdoorboy2 ай бұрын
No, that’s what you need to use or diamond plates. Also use porcelain rods to hone and strop the edge last.

I have 2k dollar damascus steel knife that I watched someone make in person and I would use this, but only for old knifes with a terrible edge but if you have a insanely expensive or a knife that you would want to preserve and pass down for generations use wet stones.
@davidkirksey8521Ай бұрын
The outdoor55 guy just showed how an edge so 11:20 sharp will hold edge longer. Perfect bevel edge, burr removed . This guy has sharp knives but they have a burr and thus will need honing more frequently. He also has a small serrated blade via his pull through. His knives are sharp, but need frequent reshaping/maintenance and knives will not last as long. His boomer ego comes out at end when he starts talking sissy. Pull through sharpeners are quick and dirty sharp, you use them more frequently and knife blade does not last as long. Save yourself the marketing person up-charge and have your angle maintained with an Amazon made in China pull through. Also if you like pull through ease, buy cheaper no name stamped blade knives and cut away, just be ready for frequent resharpening.
