Fuel,parts and dump fees have really been hurting this last year. And I agree, just being out and about working,driving around , talking, etc gets you a lot more work than sitting on the couch waiting. Sometimes we will do a small job thats not really worth it knowing that the neighbors will ask us to come look at their trees,etc I don’t have that style of machine anymore but I use to put a ratcheting c clamp on it to help keep it from spinning while using the grinder on it. HI CT this reminds me at the sawmill there is more than 1 way 2 sharpen saw bits 1 W a flat file 2 W a hand crank saw sharper 3W a electric saw sharper the hand crank 1S U don't much of them anymore they are faster than a flat file 😊😊 OMG 7 14 2O23

I use masonry blades to sharpen Carbide . A ton cheaper and they work great

There are also companies that will retip teeth for about half the price of what new teeth cost, I've had good luck with Wit-Son Tool. They also manufacture and sell teeth. I'm thinking of upgrading to the wheel and teeth that you have, mainly for working in rocky soil. I like Greenteeth but they don't hold up in the rocks. I have an RG55, it's similar to your machine but it has a 55hp Kubota gas engine.

Yes sir u have to have Diamond sharpening tools. Iv tryed sharpening the tungsten carbide button on our water well drilling bits. It's expensive but it's well worth paying for diamond sharpening sharpening bits.

Seems like when you were running Husqvarna saws you didn’t have these issues. Stihl makes awesome products but the newer Husky stuff seems to have less down time.

Does that cutting head need to be balanced occasionally, like a mower blade?

I heard in another video that breathing in the carbide grindings is not good for your health but who knows if that is true. That sure looks like you found a great option for sharpening though Tim.

the sharp teeth will help your fuel economy Tim.a warning avoid breathing the tungsten dust.it can give you serious health problems later on .

Cotton top, where do you get your new teeth at? I use green teeth on mine. Green manufacturing is 15 miles from me but I use their wearsharp teeth and pockets. Good folks to deal with

CEI is where I get all my stump grinder teeth and parts they are a one stop shop.

I had that same wheel and teeth on my machines. I found that taking them off and sharpening them with a Green Wheel was better for me.

I knew diamond blades were expensive but... OUCH! too bad that stump grinder doesn't have a lock on it to keep it from turning so you can keep both hands on the grinder. I hate seeing appendages that close to a diamond blade. I know you can be trusted with it but... boy, I sure couldn't. a newbie like me.... I'd be reminiscing with my 9 fingers what it was like when number 10 used to hang out with them. 🤭
