@FerunaLutelou3 жыл бұрын
The bottle opener can be useful sometimes, especially for women, cause some bottle caps are just too tight. The egg crackers are useful for at least 2 reasons. First, if you suck at cracking eggs open. With this tool you will never have to cook an omelette instead of sunny side up cuz the egg yolk got damaged. Second, it helps with taking off the shell from a boiled egg. Doing it without the first or last tool will take a long time and could get messy, ruining the look and etc., but with these tools it could take less than 10 seconds.

@FerunaLutelou3 жыл бұрын
@@iseegreen5297 again, if you're clumsy, not careful or not experienced, you may damage the egg yolk, which will mix with the egg whites and then you'll have to cook an omelette instead of sunny side up eggs. Just bonking the shell of a hard boiled egg will crack it fairly randomly, so you will most likely have to spend at least a minute tearing the shell off and may damage the egg inside, making it look worse. Using a tool is just more convenient, especially if you cook eggs often enough. You dont just rip your bread to pieces, right? You cut it

So, I've been googling around wondering just how in the hell this man turned egg whites into a knife. Anyone know exactly what's going on here? The closest I've come is a paper about an antimicrobial bioplastic made from egg whites and natural plasticizers like glycerol. I'm not sure what the shampoo is for, though. Maybe soap denatures the egg proteins so when it's heated it has better properties? I think the conditioner contains the plasticizers needed to produce the bioplastic.
@KevinsArmory2 жыл бұрын
interesting side note the shampoo and conditioner extracts DNA from cells. HIgh school biology uses both of those to demonstrate DNA though my class used a strawberry. the egg is a giant cell though. the dna is made up of sugars as well but the denatured proteins are what plastic is made with. Its complicated stuff but I think Nile Red covers PLA plastic chemistry from milk protein. You may find the process is actually quite similar with several different proteins.
@Crowbars22 жыл бұрын
@@KevinsArmory What the hell are you talking about? Soap is used to extract DNA from cells because it breaks apart the cell membrane, allowing access to the nucleus. Unfertilized chicken eggs don't contain that much DNA. Plus, he's only using the egg white, the yolk is where the DNA would be. Plus, I haven't heard of any usable plastics being made from DNA... so wut? With milk specifically, a few types of plastics can be made from them, but he's using egg white, not milk, so again, wtf? PLA stands for polylactic acid, in NileRed's videos he makes cellulose acetate, bakelite, nylon, and polyurethane, he hasn't made a video about PLA yet. So again, what the fuck are you talking about?
@KevinsArmory2 жыл бұрын
@@Crowbars2 you misunderstood what I said , so forgive me for having to elaborate. Im not teaching you patentable chemistry equations through a youtube comment. All you need to know is the DNA is a separate topic altogether. Im not saying its part of the plastic making process, just that similar reactions are occurring. Nilered def has videos about PLA from milk, just not on his channel. he has done collabs with other youtubers. Anyway its a giant pain to untangle all your presumptions so Ill keep this short. All you need to know is processing egg in various ways then heating eggs by itself is enough. This causes the albumin protein found in egg whites to form polymers under the heat and pressure, which forms a protein-based biopolymer without any additional plasticiser. You can figure the rest out yourself for giving me that sass. I posted a source but youtube deleted it already. IDK this probably isnt the best place for free organic chemistry homework tutoring, try google scholar where i found plenty sources for turning eggs into plastic.
@KevinsArmory2 жыл бұрын
@@Crowbars2 in regards to making PLA , im sure you are familiar with amylase and cornstarch method? Im not sure how you can be so incredulous given how much you know so far. I found the video where I thought Nilered made a cameo but I may have confused it for a different collab. Anyway this video linkby HTME covers PLA method Im referring to and tried to link here earlier AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT MAKING THE EXACT SAME MATERIAL AS KIWAMI'S EGG KNIFE BECAUSE I HAVE NO WAY TO DISCERN ALL THE TOILETRY INGREDIENTS, JUST MERELY TRYING TO BRAINSTORM. I hope its helpful in giving you the pattern recognition Im referring to so you dont need a damn paper to tell you what a plastic is or could be. /kjvQMMQWNGE

In Japanese it's a single, specific word that functions as a classification of knives (包丁, houchou). In English we usually use 'knife' much more broadly so we think any small-med blade is a knife whose use, i.e. in the kitchen, is specified w an adj when clarification is needed, thus why the title might sound excessive. A similar, inverse example is how we use 'katana' to specifically mean Japanese samurai swords, when it's just the general word for sword in Japanese. I know it was a joke, but I see this as a question a lot in kiwami's comment section, so I thought it might cool to actually know why

"mom where are the knives?" "hold on just give me 20 eggs jimmy"
where do you even come across arcane chemistry knowledge like "egg whites will turn into plastic if you add shampoo and conditioner"? the reason this vexes me so is that i've looked at the ingredients list on shampoo AND conditioner and they're both a mile long
@mongolianstallion82743 жыл бұрын
I think the thinking process is like egg whites contains [insert chemical] and shampoo has [again] and if I mix them it could make plastic instead of egg + shampoo = plastic. Also there is probably a lot of trial and error involved
