I just love the fact that like me, you make do and mend, arent sponsored by a tool company so have to buy secondhand or on sale and have a real workshop thats full of "stuff" and in a state of untidyness. Keep em coming big fella.

I agree David Tyers! Nice to see a real life situation. Makes my huge hoard in the garage seem "normal" I am always buying used stuff to repurpose.

Hey mate- follow this protocol- Its what Ive done for 20 years of cutting cylinders open- check my stove videos on my channel. Take it outside, loosen bleed screw on side of brass valve - bleed until empty, Remove the valve with a tool made from 50NB steam pipe and a pry bar or stilson wrench. turn it upside down and go have your cup of tea. When you come back- Its ready to cut or grind. I guarantee you will not die using this method. To give you some idea of how many I do, Each christmas I take the brass taps in for recycling. 4-6 buckets full each year.

Nice work Paul, I was thinking if LPG is heavier than air, it may be better to turn the tank upside down to let the gas out 🤔 With arc welding does it not matter about the paint? I see other go to great lengths to clean there parts back to metal before welding or is it not really necessary? I guess the arc burns off the paint as you go along? I don’t know 🤔 Turned out nice 👍🏼😀
@SHARPEYSWORKSHOP
@SHARPEYSWORKSHOP 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Greg I've tried many different ways to ensure there's no gas in the tank and believe me nothing works 100% it's just a case of keeping fingers crossed lol as for welding stick welding very forgiving you can get away with not cleaning unless you need a pretty weld for a picture lol hope your ok bud keep safe
