I have been investing in US and Europe but recently I have switched my interest and started investing in Indian market. I never commented on any of youtube videos but this one made me to do so. Your dad is super hero and you are blessed with such a kind and experienced father who has deep understanding about finance and stocks. Our generation really need the knowledge your dad has, my humble request - please bring him often to your channel. He is real, honest and most important he want our generation to grow financially.

My fav part of this video was the story of buying the house. It tells 2 stories in itself: one, the power of not looking at your stocks and just sitting on it and two: the humility to admit your mistake and learn from that.

I don't know how many people even remotely realize how valuable this was to hear from Shashank's dad today! If you're in 20-30s you need to bookmark this and watch it as many times as you can. Knowledge is power! Thank you Sir for your valuable inputs and I would defintiely share it with my younger cousins and one day with my son.

My strategy has always been to invest 25% of my income in the stock market at the beginning of each month. The second part of my strategy is not to sell for at least 5 years, but recently my portfolio has suffered major decline about $150k in losses. What can I do please?

Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions. which may reduce your dividend gains or income, speaking to a certified market strategist can help with pointers

Agreed. It's always wise to be proactive and consider diversifying our investments to manage risks in uncertain economic times. I delegate my day-to-day investing to an advisor ever since suffering a major steep-down late 2019, amid rona-outbreak, and as of today, I'm semi-retired with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments

One request, pls explain me here in the comment about upward averaging that uncle was referring to. You can take Tata Motors for reference. I want to understand when to add more stocks. Next question is when to rebalance stocks .. like for eg HAl, should we rebalance or change after 4 years? Thank you!

This might've been the best live session I've ever watched period. Upward averaging was new for me, and to be honest, he had a lot of small actionable insights on how to stay in the market long-term. Just so you know, I'll be revisiting this video a lot many times to grasp everything, and I'd definitely like it to know how your dad find out multi-baggers

Wow Shashank! This was one of the best live sessions so far. The amount of knowledge is immense. And hearing it straight from a person who has been in the stock market from way before I was even born is even more impactful. Learned a lot from this session. Hope you will bring him in frequently in the upcoming sessions. Ill listen to the entire episode again and make some notes on it because just merely listening isn't enough. We should dot it down in order to retain it. I might as well comment again with those notes for the benefit of others. I aspire to be a dad like your dad.
