Shaun, I met you 15 years ago when you were busking at 1st street station in Rehoboth beach Delaware. I was 10 years old, you were playing out front of my parents store studios S. You blew all of our minds, even mine at 10 and i had not picked up an instrument yet. Fast forward in 27 now and been playing and studying music for a couple years now. Your name still gets passed around, thinking back to that special summer…. I hope our paths cross again. Wish you the best man ❤

Media famous guitarists are cool but the ones like him who's name travels on the winds has always been so much cooler, like the great travelling bluesman of the yesteryear.

Thank you so much, brother! I actually didn't write either piece.. The first is a traditional Irish piece called "Merrily Kissed the Quakers Wife" that I learned from Sam Pacetti. Amazing guitarist!!! :) and the second was written by Andy Mckee, very innovative player! :)

Hey Blake! Thank you for this comment!! I'm glad you enjoy my guitar playing :) I try my best to respond to everyone because they have invested time in writing me so it just seems like the right thing to do. Thanks again, bro!

This piece is called Merrily Kissed The Quaker. There's a version on guitar by the master Pierre Bensusan, as well as a more traditional band version by Planxty, on Spotify. It is not this cover of course - but the piece is wonderful in every rendition. :)

Not only are you an incredible guitarist, but you seem to have a great attitude. You're about the only famous youtuber that actually comments back to his fans! Which is awesome. You're an inspiration bro, so keep it up!

Been listening to you since I met you in Charlotte with Tim, your music is a mainstay in our family, a sweet haunting of when my wife and I fell in love, and a whisper of the places we've been both emotionally and physically. Truly a poet in a commercial world, stay with it my friend.

merrily kissed the quaker the tune is called. Pierre Bensusan arranged it first for guitar, he took it from a Planxty album.

What a pleasure to see and hear. Reaches my soul - I have this tune in my heart being an O'Brien. I play a few basic guitar chords but I have Parkinsin's and am a bit slow in some fingers. Rock on Shaun.

I commented previously how much awesome Shaun is, but once I learned the actual name of the tune, Merrily Kissed the Quaker , and searched for other versions, this version is the very best. That driving alternating bass line is so killer.
