Comb over wasn't bad, it wasn't really see thru, but when you know your thin underneath, it made me feel insecure, always wondering, is it noticeable, when you just buzz it and own it, you feel so much more confident and it's allot easier as well

I'd like to break a few things down... I've noticed that THIS "1 length" buzz normally looks best for those with male pattern baldness (badly receding hairline and evenly thin hair all around) and "Stylists" do not specialize in "Blending/fading" with clippers like a barber, which I think would help here big time! IMO they can fade/ knock down those sides shorter to make it all transition better, without a "Thin top with thick follicle shadow on the sides" (I have dark hair also) I say this being I'm about to take the same leap also and struggling with "Should I do it" as I have about 1-1.5" of hairline that goes backs before it gets super thin in the center of the top... I could get a few hairstyles as I have shoulder length hair (due to how long I've been debating this change) but frankly I'm sick and tired of stressing about fallout and worrying about it being translucent or the wind blowing it out of place without product in, leading me to not make a change and my hair getting longer and longer, and that leading to more fallout due to tangles when combing. I also feel it could help clean my scalp much more thoroughly after a buzz due to the thinning area being covered by a long side part for 3yrs, and not getting much attention and smothered.... (Yes, I'm the guy who has hope that Biotin and other vitamins may at minimum thicken the thin hairs, lol) I think mine is Alopecia VS normal Male Pattern Baldness as the hairline is still thick (even tho getting a tad thinner), but the top is super thin hairs with a mixture of thicker patches in areas, unless that's just the balding process still working on those other areas but the worst area is where my hat rests on the top of my head when wearing it backwards, but I've heard the shorter it is, the less fallout and the more blood flow/ nutrients go to the roots and stubble VS having to distribute it into longer strands. (Don't quote me) Im gonna do it myself first but if it has the "bald with thick sides look" at 1 length as I suspect, I'm going to a barber to get the rest a length shorter (near skin tight fade) to blend things better so that the top isn't the focal point... All in all, BARBERs specialize in this area, NOT Stylists... They are trained mostly for scissor cuts and 1 length buzzes, minus the ones who stepped their game up during the "Combover fade" trend.
