Жыл бұрынAt a recent EFC event in Kazakhstan, Russian UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke highly of current UFC Welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov, referring to the Kazakhstani as a "title contender". With an impressive undefeated record of 16-0, Shavkat is on a fast track to be the first fighter from Kazakhstan to fight for a UFC title.

The UFC and MMA have taken steps to get to this point of popularity around the world. Fighters like Frank shamrock , tank Abbott , Tito Ortiz , Chuck Liddell , Jon Jones , gsp , and Vitor , have made contributions to that popularity , but Connor took it to another level , and Khabib took it yet to a higher level .

I put zhang above all of them, her title shot is already pretty much guaranteed and esparza is a very winnable fight for her. Also merab is close to the title and sterling said hed rather vacate than fight his friend

Khabib reconizes these things as GOATS do. Shavkat has skills and is one of my favorites. He does get hit to much, hope he seals that up a bit. Colby has nothing for Shavkat, but Burns vs Shav would be sick as fuck. Might even lead towards a ko for burns

Before a title shot, he must fight at least 1-2 guys from the TOP 5: Burns, Belal, Chimaev, Colby, Usman. Maaan... Those guys are really strong beasts. It's gonna be extremely difficult against any of them.

The languages are very different but both are widely spoken in Kazakhstan. According to Wikipedia - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Kazakhstan - 74% of people speak Kazakh and 89% speak Russian. So most people speak both. Khabib was speaking 100% Russian in the video.

Let’s get this right he is not Mongolian but of Turkic origin and Russian/Turkic mentality and Muslim. Dangerous mix for fighting and honor mentality. I’m Hungarian and we have ancient history with turkics and Kazakhs and there’s even a tribe in Kazakhstan called the madjar tribe similar to our language magyar with a letter g.
