Songwriters often do not do the best performances of their songs, but this is the exception. Excellent.

absolutely beautiful! saw Shawn with Guy Clark and Verlon Thompson in Bowling Green KY last night. Shawn was flawless. he absolutely killed it when he did Sis Draper. this man is so much better than 90% of the crap on radio. maybe he should start wearing wife beaters and stupid ball caps. ok i am through complaining about country radio. thanks for posting!

hey thought guy wrote this alone, but now that I find Shawn Co wrote, it's nice to know that the tradition is in good hands with shawn. guy gave us the real thing cause he was the real thing, his beautiful melodies resonated with incomparable imagery which distilled into the legend and now the myth. Adios to our precious friend and Suzanna don't you cry, now your together again.

Kerry Evans Guy Clark cowrote it with Shawn Camp who was one of Guy's young protegees. They wrote four songs about Sis Draper, a fiddler. Beautiful song this one.
