I have heard this song hundreds of times on the radio. Working at Wawa it was on the playlist and I heard it probably about every hour every shift. And I worked a lot. And I guess never really heard it. I saw an interview where he talked about why he wrote this and saw it in a new light. Had to come listen to it with a new perspective and don't know how I never saw it. As a recovering drug addict 4 years sober, I clearly never really "heard" this song.
