Chris was, probably, the greatest singer of the "big four" from the new era of American music from the early 90's. Sadly, we have lost three of that four - and they are all still so sorely missed. RIP Chris, Layne and Kurt. And, for God's sake, stay safe Eddie.

I agree. While there were other great frontmen in his Era, Eddie, Scott, Layne. Chris' voice had that little something extra, it cut a little deeper, hit a little harder, it's hard to explain. I was lucky enough to get to see him perform live 3 times, and I still get a little emotional when I hear him on the radio.

I think we lost Kurt in 94, Bradley Noel in 95, Shannon Moon in 96, Layne in 02, Scott Weiland in 2015, but of all of them, losing Chris and then Chester 2 months after that hit me the hardest. Their music got me through when I was struggling and at my lowest point dealing with my own mental health issues in the early 2000's.
