Chris was, probably, the greatest singer of the "big four" from the new era of American music from the early 90's. Sadly, we have lost three of that four - and they are all still so sorely missed. RIP Chris, Layne and Kurt. And, for God's sake, stay safe Eddie.

Chris was my ABSOLUTE favorite singer. I was lucky enough to see him in Soundgarden live. This was a hard loss for many. Really check out “Say Hello 2 Heaven” / “Reach Down” when he was in Temple of the dog. “No one sings like you anymore”. I cannot stress enough for to sample all his bands- Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, & Audioslave. He was the soundtrack to my youth. Cheers!

As a long time fan of Chris Cornell it was cool to see your reactions as soon as he started singing, and it was pretty much the same as mine. There will never be another Chris Cornell, RIP. The world is a little darker without him in it. Saw him in 2015 on the acoustic tour, it was pure magic. Been listening to his music for 30+ years, and his voice never loses its haunting power. If he had decided to do country music he would have been the GOAT country singer.

He was one of the greatest voices of my generation, and his loss was a soul-wrenching hurt that hasn't healed completely. Every time I hear his cover of this song, I weep. Including this time.
