In this quick video I share how you can start to play with the new Redshift Displacement capabilities (programmable shading with volumes) and also how to quickly set up a planet using my new CG EXOPLANET maps.

Hey Shawn, I've been so heads down on Toon, I missed this - thanks for the heads-up and walk through - that and yet another sweet af asset pack.

Does anyone know how to get the displacement to go outside of the bounds of the volume? The documentation has an example of it working but I can't figure out how to do it. Also I'm having an issue where it feels like the noise for displacement is also acting as a multiplier on the density. So the density increases as the displacement increases, which is really impractical. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

will you have another video that goes in to more detail on how you set up the shader? That was the entire reason I watched!! Please and Thank You!

Absolutely! I was just pressed for time! I'll make a more in-depth video soon.

So weird. Density is missing in the latest Redshift. I just don't see it

Make sure you're bringing in the new Standard Volume Shader
