The mixing is weird because it's a vibe they're going for. They're going for that like really muddy underground feel and I respect it, it makes the project sound cool.

i love the line that JPEG balances here with the really expirimental sounds and but its still listenable. and danny's energy fits in perfectly and keeps me more engaged than i typically am on a peggy album

Bro thats how I felt too. I kept feeling like I didn’t know what part I wanted to listen to. Like is it the fast paced hard hitting drums? The weird ass instrument? The crazy sample? Dannys vocals? Peggys vocals? Its like everytime I come back I can focus on a different aspect and have almost a different experience. Like its making me think how most mfs just have a beat made, rap over it and the main focus is the vocals. This project is just like “fuck all that, you are going to listen to every aspect of the song, cause its all important.”

this will be album of the year for many, many people. and for me, beyond that, it’s one of the most memorable and creative albums of the decade. probably my favourite album to come out of the 2020s thus far.

Sweet Preacher Man is a blaxploitation film that inspired the cover. They creatively changed and added to it to make that beast of a cover. Kingdom Hearts Key is one of the best instrumentals of the last 10 years. Scratch that, most if not all of the production on here is the greatest of the last 10 years or so. HYPE!

i loved the album. the pure vitriol towards the idea if regular beats was amazing. it worked out perfectly. these beats are gritty and they delivered on everyone imo. solid 8.5/10.

This was a great project because I really feel they made something that couldn't have existed without both of them where as there's a lot of collabs these days that feel like one guys project where another artist is just featured a lot

Artists used to give us experimental music all the time during the late 2000s and early 2010s within experimentalism, and that produces albums that are extremely successful due to the lack of formula that everyone is pushing in similarity & sounding to the same. so this shit is so cool because Danny and JPEGMAFIA had so much fun making it, and JPEGMAFIA said that the best verses from Danny were his sober ones, & I just feel like every track shine diff then the same forumlaic shiiii we’ve been receiving. I like when artists give us something diff. Because then we receive a different formula of commercial success. Also this is the most Scorpio shit I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s like when a Scorpio invite you to their crib to to chill & this is what you see as an interaction 🙏🙏🙏

Hip Hop has been taken over by strippers, drug dealers and low common denominator culture. If someone makes a great album with lyrics, production, including all the elements of Hip Hop. Half the so-called fans will hate it. If it doesn't appeal to these 304's and dope dealers. So it must suck?
