Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZfaq, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZfaq. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZfaq, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Hate is especially powerful when when its government sanctioned. I was a kid when this song came out in 1968. MLK was killed in April, the song came out shortly after, and then RFK was killed in June and the last verse was added. Even for a kid, it's hard when your heroes keep getting m*rdered. 1968 was a terribly violent year and full of despair, crushed hopes and dreams, and bloodshed - but I do wonder whether we are in for even darker times ahead.

This is a bit later for Dion. His earlier stuff is more doo wop. He came back with this social conscious song. In the 50's Dion helped create Doo Wop. He came back in 1968 with this big hit.

I remember when JFK was assassinated, I was in school and they announced it on the PA and sent us home. My parents were conservative republicans who didn't care for him but they were in absolute shock and deeply saddened. Everybody was. The same with Bobby and MLK. It was an insane year. Bobby would have won the presidency and reopened the case of his brother's murder so the dark powers decided that he had to go. MLK began to link the civil rights movement with the antiwar movement and that would have created an unstoppable force. They wouldn't let that happen. There are some very powerful and evil forces in our country, lurking in the shadows

Dion DiMucci, is 84, and still recording. From his "teen" vocal group The Belmonts, to this late 1960's Folk phase, to later Blues-Rock - He's a great musical talent. And, this song can just make you cry, and think, and remember.

I tell myself I am not going to be moved in the usual way, but I can't help myself. And this is why I could not do what you do. I lack that level of social professionalism. This song was way out of Dion's normal fare. But it is the timeless classic. May we somehow evolve into modest and kind, caring souls.

I need to decline to go because he couldn’t afford it. We were devastated at these murders . I remember the teachers ,parent crying for ages , many people had photos of these men in their homes ,right next to Jesus in some homes . We thought we were going into a bright new world, of progress and beauty, we were going to lead the world but instead the hateful won and we have the society we do. The young can’t know the pain many of us still feel from these losses.

Friday Nov 22, 1963, 10am CA time. Was 10. Will never forget that day or weekend. The entire world went silent. Literally millions came that entire weekend to go by his flag draped casket before taken out & taken to be buried. MLK in Apr '68. Riots, naturally. Jun '68, Bobby in L.A., CA. Just won CA. Again, the country went silent. Song came out couple mths later.
