He said (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace), “Do not differ [in the row], lest your hearts differ!” So the Muslims must pay attention to this matter. This separation is only temporary, after which they will return back to what Allah, the Exalted and Most High, has legislated about the rows (i.e. the base rule of coming together closely). Following this order where the Sheik commanded Muslims leave what Allah legislated & "temporarily"follow his guidance by disobeying Allah and placing 6ft gaps in Allah's prayer line to protect them from a virus with an over 90% survival rate where must who succumb to it are elderly or suffering from other serious illnesses. All those books mentioned are good, important books. The problem is thinking knowledge stops there and you've become a Shaykh. But these books are good, accepted and studied by scholars for generations.

i agree that the books are great regardless of size.. the issue is however for the pedestal that he places himself on the books are very begginer level and take very little time to study

If that's the case then anyone can read as much as he has which is not much and therefore be eligible for the same or similar level of platform that he has been given. I attend GLM occasionally but otherwise my local masjid. Attend for salah regularly. Ask Allah swt for sincere guidance. Truly He will guide you. I went through a decision similar to yours. Ask sincerely. Study your deen, start slow, start with Qur'an, accompany it with some basic aqeedah such as usool ul thalatha, start 40 ahadith imam nawawi. Take your time if you're busy. The deen is clear and simple my beautiful brother. From what I have seen from the SPUBS TEACHERS (not the average attendees of the masjid) is harshness, making the deen enclosed. Etc. May Allah make it easy for you. I don't want to spoonfeed you an answer. But InShaaAllah this helps you make up your own mind and heart without thinking I've forced you. BarakallahuFeek (Also Sheikh/Ustadh Abu Usamah is affiliated with green lane masjid but he's mainly in Liverpool to spread the dawah there. There are other scholars and teachers that are at the Masjid such as Sheikh Ahsan Hanif who is a regular imam there). Also remember, the deen is not constricted to individuals. The deen is beautiful and clear.
