The DCEU, by and large, was a pretty disastrous attempt at building a cinematic universe akin to what Marvel managed to do with their superhero properties, and this failure set back DC films for years, with them just now starting to recover as they try to half-reset the DCU. But, despite their many failures, there were a few highlights throughout their slate of releases from 2013 to 2022, with one of their best being 2019’s Shazam! Although Shazam!’s gained plenty of acclaim from critics and audiences alike, the film unfortunately performed the worst at the box office out of any DCEU theatrical release not affected by the pandemic, with it grossing 365 million dollars worldwide, which is still a great number but I’d expect the sequel, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, to do better when it releases in a few weeks on March 17th. So, in preparation for the new film, today we’re gonna take a look back at the first Shazam!, which you should go watch if you haven’t already, as it’s linked above but if you have seen it and are just looking for a quick refresher, then you’ve come to the right place.

First time seeing your page and watched this video a few days ago and watched the new one yesterday and it was great. I'm back on this video however to tell you that, your recap was BY FAR the best recap I've ever seen. I usually get a 3 to 5 speed recap on movies and you just made me realized that I was missing a lot by watching those. I just started Watching Shazam, i'm on minute 15 right now. I just hope he didn't Lost his mom like that, cause if he did, it's a huge desapontament. Oh and i didn't watch any revew, i'm gonna watch it after the movie.

I really was thinking of stopping because I didn't want to hear criticisms or even opinions of the DC larger universe. Though I agree with the opinion it's off-putting because I popped on here to get a recap of one movie. But, upon reading the other reviews everyone seems to think that it was very helpful so I'm going to keep watching but for the love of God unsolicited opinions about broad divisive matters at the very beginning of a video can turn off a fan base especially when that's not what they're clicking on the video for. That said, I do appreciate the service and I will watch the video. It was just off putting at the very beginning. I grew up watching DC and I'm kind of sick of how it gets attacked all the time
