I never watched the Shaq movie. I was obsessed with Simbad at one point and I watched Shazam several times as a child. I hate the way we are being toyed with. The only reason they made this superhero movie out right now is to bury the Mandela effect conversation. I was not a child or teenager when Shazzam came out in the 90s, it was a cable movie, like for Nick or Disney. It came out before Kazam and I remember thinking at the time Kazam came out that it was a blatant rip off of the Sinbad movie.

Just to weigh in, I'm 39 from Australia and I remember the movie Shazaam and so do many people I've asked, we also remember Kazaam. Kazaam come out almost instantly after Shazaam and I remember everyone thinking WHY - and why would Shaq, a 7 ft tough black basketball champ wanna do this as his first movie- with a little white family playing a genie? I didn't watch Kazaam for years because Shaq isn't funny. Sinbads was only just watchable.Now after checking things out to do with this I've found things like Sinbad has stated he never "sold his soul " to Hollywood back then and never would and Now as some have seen, Shaq showing off his mason ring. I saw shazam with sinbad in theatres with my cousin and brother. I remember it 100%. There lieing to us all. There was a trailer for kazam and my cousin made a joke saying aren't we waaching this now.

I had an argument with my brother back in 1999 when I was still living in Millbrook apartments. And I told him about the Shazam movie with Sinbad. And he too argued I meant kazam with Shaq. And round and round we went for a week on the matter. Until one day a few months later it came on tv. Shazam with Sinbad. I pointed and said, Anth! Look this is what I was talking about. And all he said was huh! As though he was not surprised. I suspect I crossed over dimensions into a parallel universe. I have a really tragic theory on how this happened. Who dominated the media in the early 90s? You know that phrase "they all look the same to me?" Couple that with the popularity of Shazam cards (bank cards or credit cards I can't remember) but yeah, people didn't know Sinbad but he kinda looks like Shaq, and people were more familiar with the word Shazam, and bam, Sinbad played Shazam.

if different timelines are possible then my theory is every single one of us that remember the 1994 Shazaam movie with Sinbad, (Jonathan Brandis), HAS (or will have) had a should-have-been-fatal-death-experience before our intended time of death and in turn woke up in an alternate timeline that is slightly parallel with the one that the fatality would have occurred; thus, every single one of us are now traveling on a secondary timeline with a shadow memory of our evaded fatality as being simply a (wow, I was lucky I survived that) when in fact in that other time line you didn't survive... In that other timeline Nelson Mandela also prematurely died in the 1980's (before his time) and in our slightly parallel timeline that we are now in Mandela actually dies in 2013 (which was his true appointed time for departing from the living); the 1994 Shazaam movie with Sinbad, (Jonathan Brandis), therefore never was made in this parallel timeline yet we somehow retained the memory of the other timeline where the move was in fact made. Screw Shazaam, does anyone remember a movie from the 90s (or early 2000s) about two eleven/twelve year-old boys who find a million dollars (or maybe just like fifty thousand or whatever) and then think that their neighbor stole it, or is out to kill them? Because he's a criminal, or whatever (think Disturbia vibes) The only scene I remember somewhat vividly is when the two kids are trying to sneak into the guy's apartment, so one of them lowers the other one down by a harness from the ceiling panels--while the neighbor is there, but sleeping or something--and the rope keeps slipping, and afterward the other kids is like, "So you placed 6th in the strength competition? Out of how many?" And the other kid said sheepishly, "7." Anybody remember that crappy movie? Because I can't find it. (It isn't Millions, based on the book by Frank Cottrell-Boyce)

I believe in the paranormal and the Mandela effect. (I think they rewound time and undid Mandela's first death in prison). But I don't think the Shazaam movie was a product of the Mandela effect. Shazaam with Sinbad, and Kazam with Shaquille, were both real movies. But I think Sinbad immediately regretted his Shazaam movie, then negotiated something with his contract so they would not play it on TV anymore or produce any more VHS tapes of it; and Sinbad could have had his people buy the rest of the used VHS tapes to get them out of circulation too.
