I’m an older mom. No biological children. I got married young at twenty years old. We were married for twenty five years until we adopted. I’m 52 with three adopted babies who are now, 7, 5 and 4. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

What she said about death is so true. My dad had me at 60 and died when I was just about to turn 29. He was healthy and independent up until his last week. I thank God for giving us nearly 29 years! What a blessing.

Fun story: Once spoke to a woman who had 5 children, one in each decade of her life. One in her teens and one each in her twenties, thirties, forties and one at fifty. She laughed, saying it wasn't her plan but she doesn't know why life worked out in that way.

My mom had me at 40. I grew up with all the kids calling her my grandma. I never cared. We’ve always been very close. She and my dad went on to have to practically raise my oldest sisters kids as well. Society has normalized teen/tween pregnancy, but still has a stigma against having kids after 30s… im 27 and nowhere near ready to have kids. If I ever settle down and am financially able to raise a kid, I’ll consider it then, but for now I’m perfectly content with my cat 🥰

I had babies my 4th and 5th baby at 37 and 39. With my last baby I developed preeclampsia and almost died. I had prior health problems. I had chronic hypertension. I think it can be an issue for some women, not all. And they tell this to all women past age 35. However it doesn’t mean that you will have problems if you get pregnant after age 35.

don't put pressure on yourself. think positive. do things that help kick that baby hormone into gear as many mums who adopt find themselves pregnant not long after adopting... magic hormone kicks in.

I agree with freeze your eggs now. The first big dip in fertility comes at 27. The older you are, the harder it becomes to get pregnant, especially with the first one.

As the child of older parents that were also children of older parents, I'm a bit hesitate to encourage having children after 45. When that boy turns 13 she'll be 70. It looks like the daughter will be helping raise this child.

I'm 39 in 2 months and I'm 6 months pregnant .. Docs keep labeling me as "advanced maternal age" I waited 8yrs for this little boy and spent 12k with fertility docs and surgery.. And I want more after him! Not all of us are given love or stability early in life so we have to work extra hard to build for ourselves while society outcasts us and it takes time to emotionally heal and stabilize to be able to be healthy enough parents.. I had my son now 8+ at age 46. 😊 I surprisingly got pregnant again at age 52, but sadly I had a miscarriage.😂. I would have loved if I had an opportunity to get married and had children much younger, but sometimes that’s just how it works out. However, If God will’s that a woman should have a baby, it will be so. “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)❤ “Is any thing too hard for the Lord?..“ (Genesis 18:14)❤ “… there is nothing too hard for thee:..” (Jeremiah 32:17)❤. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)❤ Read the Bible and you’ll see there were at least 3 women who had babies at a much older age - Sarah (Genesis 21: 2, 3) Elizabeth (Luke 1:13, 18, 24 & 24) and a Shunammite woman (2 Kings 4:16, 17) ❤ Reklamation Ministries 😊

My friend had a baby at 57, she lives in Australia. Her first and only child was killed in a car accident so she had her daughter at 57 through donor sperm and she grew the baby and gave birth to her. So proud of her

I agree with what the mom said. It's funny how people are so quick to say they feel sorry for the baby in situations like this. Death doesn't have a guaranteed age. You have mother's and father's in their 20s or 30s who have died, leaving that child fatherless or motherless. Hell you even have children being born to people who abandoned them because they didn't want the responsibility. As long as this mother and her husband and baby make as many priceless moments, loving on one another, before one of them leaves this earth (because again death doesn't have a guaranteed age) that's all that matters. They are a blessing to/for one another💜🥰

I just personally feel like it’s not a good idea to have a kid when you are at the stage of retirement. Sure they’re gonna show you the good stories but I don’t think it’s exactly a good choice to have a child so old. It may be a hot take of mine but I just feel like having a kid pass the age of like 35 is kinda terrible and it sounds tiring as hell. Some people do it and it works and that’s good for them. But for me personally it’s not happening

I have older parents. They had me around age 40, and I hated it! They slowed down a lot in the years after I was born and were always too tired to do anything. As an adult now, I am not even 30 yet we are already looking at what life will look like after they pass. We hear these stories that are "positive." But we aren't hearing the story of a facebook friend who also had a child late, died, and left her 9 year old an orphan.

My biggest issue is energy as well. I had my daughter couple weeks before I turned 36. She's about to be too and I'm about to be 38 and it is just very hard to do everything. Even if I were five years younger it would make all the difference for me. I am happy that I did not have her in my twenties though because I don't think I have the patience then

from what I've been told, falling pregnant with pcos is possible. it is a myth told by many doctors. seek out women's health specialist, especially one who will support Chinese herbal medicines. They work for so many issues that doctors are so quick to place a 'bandaid' on.

I decided that I wouldn't have anymore kids once I turned 30 because I didn't want to be like my mom. I'm glad I stuck to it because my kids are older and almost ready to be on their own, and I'm still young.
