Right, it's not just offensive, but absurd and ridiculous that most Koreans believe that glasses make someone unattractive and ugly. The girl was pretty with glasses, but her glasses were ridiculous; too big and toy-like. Some people look good with glasses others don't. The girl didn't look good with the glasses she had, but she is pretty she just needed a nice pair of glasses and she would've been seen as attractive by others.

I wear glasses all the time, like 24*7, except when asleep. .. I don't think its real that people don't notice how pretty someone is because of their glasses... Its the personality that hides them, not the glasses... If I was too shy and didn't participate in any activities, people wouldn't notice me either...

На первый взгляд это типичная дорама , где они в школе любят друг друга и до конца. Но это не про эту дораму , это очень жизненная дорама , которая показывает о разных людях с разными характерами , и как они себя ведут в начале и потом. Я даже можно сказать плакала настолько эта дорама показала каким нужно быть человеком...

I hate these “glow up makes crush fall for them” tropes for both guys and girls. All it proves is that the person only likes them for their looks. Like the guy has a glow up, the girl “suddenly” sees how amazing and attractive he is. Or the girl had a glow up and all of a sudden the guy is interested and wants to chase her. The whole trope is just shallow. I like the trope where the guy/girl likes the guy/girl in their “unattractive” or nerdy stage and realizes how beautiful they are as time goes on.

многие в том числе и я подумали что конец будет таков какой написан в названии видео признаюсь я не до конца посмотрела этот ролик и сразу побежала смотреть дораму хах а я ещё задумалась дорама и правда будет такой ванильной короткой и с ожидаемым концом но как всегда режиссёры не перестают менять ход событий в какой-то степени это становится ожидаемо и на последок скажу эта дорама как и многие другие заставляет задуматься в конце

Beauty is only skin deep... pretty may get attention, however, what else do you have to keep it? There is something beautiful in everybody you just have to look for it and not judge people based on something as simple as glasses or clothing. I love wearing glasses and it never stopped me from getting more attention than I ever wanted.

Well some k drama shows the rich people, wear specs as a fashion accessory while k drama focusing on school scenes, has an unpopular girl, always wearing glasses. Wel, thats a stereotype for k drama I guess

So who's saying that she wasn't pretty at the beginning? They might have some serious problem with their eyesight. I hate the fact that after putting on some make-up she's supposed to be called as 'beautiful'. I don't like it when dramas promotes these kind of stereotypes.
