She is way more chill than other guests. She doesn’t have super high energy even if she was scared to hold animals in the beginning, the way she acts and talks is way more calm and I think the animals like that.

If I were to visit Alveus, I would only consider myself a 100% success if I befriended 100% of the animals. Not only did she have the right objectives, but she reached them in what I can only describe as a 100% Alveus Run

In Australia we also do the "fuck is that a snake or just a blue-tongue? 🤔" when we see that kinda head poking out of the bushes! (Even though we love them here, we worry when we see them in our yards because they get absolutely fucked by our cats and dogs) Toast is a 10/10 Ambassador, massive fanbase sending support from back home xo

Allux, to me, feels like one of the few real people on Twitch. I do not mind actors, I think that's totally legit to play a persona for your job, but it's just a different vibe with people like her that feel more genuin. (Australian here) I had two Bluey's growing up , my Grandmother helped at a rescue/reptile place and the two I had needed some extra love, they are genuinely some of the sweetest reptiles I've ever had the pleasure to know, my girl Peaches used to love to snuggle with me, she loves to sit on my shoulder or in my hoodie around my neck when I would hang out in the yard, Id share fruit slices with her- I love skinks so much, much love sent to Toaster Stroodle

Maybe I'm biased as a reptile keeper/enthusiast but dogs and cats, while awesome, are *way* more work lol. Tho I do think if you just want a pet, captive bred from a passionate high quality breeder, even if it cost more, is good and the upfront cost of many reptiles is more than dogs/cats, but over time are cheaper etc. Just things to think about for anyone else thinking about a skink or other reptile pet! Leopard Geckos or Crested/Gargoyle geckos come to mind as easy lower cost reptiles that don't need a ton of space, easily captive bred etc.

I mean, if we’re being REAL real, no animal should be looked at as “easy”, you’re still caring for a living creature that has unique needs. They all take work. But cats and dogs have a more readily available support network, they’re easiest to find a vet for, and are already domesticated, so you don’t have to worry about getting one that was taken from its native habitat.

Love this video :) Be careful using the UV light with scorpions (and other invertebrates too). There are many studies being published on the harmful effect of UV light, and LED lights (especially blue and white) on invertebrates. It can kill, especially in young inverts. My local museum goes through tons of scorpions because they die after being used to show kids the fluorescence under UV after a short amount of time :(
