I’ve featured hundreds of tiny & nomadic homes on my channel, but I must say, I've never featured anyone quite like D & her shuttle bus 🚌💃🏼 D is a tiny houser through and through. Not only did she build out this shuttle bus herself, but she also built her own tiny home. She deserves to be featured on this channel more than most! But here's the funny thing, she's getting some hate in the comments. Why? Because she's unapologetically herself in the video. We make videos about the people living tiny, and that includes showcasing their personalities, hobbies, and lifestyle. D is a pole dancer & she owns a lot of eccentric clothes, including revealing leotards. This is a part of who she is, and she built the bus to accommodate these things. And while these may be unique interests, I have a no tolerance policy for body shaming. And so I've had to block several people for sick or disrespectful comments on her video. It's been very upsetting. We make videos about all kinds of people. Seniors, young people, couples, families, LBGTQ, and people of all ethnicities and races. And out of hundreds of videos, none has ever gotten so much hate. It's pretty obvious that women (especially those comfortable with bodies) and are the easiest targets for criticism. ......And the strangest part is that the majority of the hateful comments were from women. I didn't expect that. I encourage everyone to share opinions in the comments of my videos, but please do so without hateful language. Bottom line, I hope you can enjoy the video without slandering a young woman, even if 30 seconds of the video was not your cup of tea. Thanks for watching

I love how organizing a safe propane distribution system, a solar charging/shore power/battery storage system, a hot water system, a composting toilet ... doing and building everything herself - were just sort of 'asides' to her discussion of the decorative elements. She did one hell of a job in designing a self-contained mobile tiny home that fit her life style - my hat is off to her.

Love that cow tub! And the home made toilet. I'm so impressed that not only could she imagine what she wanted, but was able to create it by herself and for herself.

Love the use of doors to separate areas, the mirrored side of her cabinet near the front of the van, the snap-up cloth in the kitchen area, the positioning of the bed for best use of the outer doors and storage underneath. The plants are definitely welcoming. You have everything you need, the style you wanted in a home that goes where you want - well done!

I don't know why, but it was great seeing someone with a twin/single bed. All that extra space for cool stuff and clothes. Her build is wonderful! SHE is wonderful!

As someone who is a pole dancer and burlesque performer who ALSO wants to begin doing Van Life, I've wondered that while my "muggle" self can be a minimalist, my Burlesque side takes up so much space and my Pole side is a large piece of equipment that's not easy to travel with. Except for this video just gave me hope. Its possible. Stage poles may not be my favorite but if I can find a place for the pieces to fit, it really can go with me everywhere. This video has given me even more hope.

Quite a few vans and tiny houses look like no one is living there. This has so much personality and seems easier to relate to for those considering a home on wheels.

I absolutely adore everything about her unique, genuine, and lively spirit! I'm honestly jelly of not only her ability to build not one, but TWO GORGEOUS homes that represent her so accurately, but also & maybe even more so, just how sure of herself she is!! When she spoke on her clothes & how they were a part of her & no one could tell her no, because that's just part of who she is, like girl!!! I wish I could be so confident & fearless in my decisions as you are & were in that statement! She's truly beautiful inside & out!! She literally built something herself by hand that's a piece of art & that matches her fun & quirky self! She wanted something that was HERS, that no one could take away from her, so she did just that & BUILT something BEAUTIFUL! Honestly, everything about her bus, tiny home, and most importantly everything about HERSELF is stunning! She's probably my favorite I've seen on your channel so far!! Not sure why there's been hate on someone just trying to stay real to her true self! On a side note: Pole dancing is extremely HARD, especially when first learning! You have NO idea just how much strength it takes from your ENTIRE body in order to not only be done in general, but to be done GRACEFULLY! It's an art just as much as ballet dancing IMO! It may have a stigma wrapped around it, but at the end of the day, it's still a form of dancing! Some of the people being ugly & hateful are the same ones who'll go pay good $ to go watch the ballet play, "The Nutcracker"! What's one of the outfits ballet dancers wear in that performance?! Leotards! So, that's okay for them, but not for her?! At a public pool or water park what do most women wear? A one piece swimsuit, or God forbid, something that's even more "revealing" a two piece. If it's not YOUR body, don't worry about what that body has on or not! I love you so much D!! Please continue to be the stunning inside & out person that you are, you're truly a rarity these days!! After going down the rabbit hole of van life videos, it was very refreshing to see someone and something so unique! So many other vans look like they are not even lived in and just for Instagram presentation. Also: the tub was my absolut favourite! Such an awesome detail!

She’s awesome! The space does give me anxiety though… I cannot be around clutter without feeling claustrophobic. I find it hard to even watch a video of a jam packed space (weird I know!). But what works for one doesn’t work for another and that’s the beauty of individuality!

This is such an amazing example of how van life is not always "minimalist aesthetic" and people actually have clothing and plants and lives that they live. The whole point of choosing that way of life is not just because you felt like you wanted something to waste your 6 figure income on for fun. Very innovative and well thought out. I like using the doors as dividers, especially the ones with windows. The stove right next to the tub! Seems like such an obvious idea, but I think that's the first time I've see that.
