Gabrielle: "Is this what you were like as a 12 year old?" Sarek: "YES!"

This is the scene I've been waiting for to pop up, it's both beautiful and powerful. This sweet, intimate moment between mother and daughter, where mom proves her wisdom and love for her daughter and Michael comes back with such honest feeling. I love this scene.

Yeah & also don't forget the Ni'Vari President made a risky & clever move by giving the data to Gabrielle secretly. She sees Michael as brave & provent like her adopted brother. Spock would be so proud to her if he were alived. Kind of missed Spock & the rest of the original ST characters too. Now let see how the future holds by Michael rebuilding the Federation as it was to be in the end.

Excellent scene between these two wonderful actresses. Love the way they wrote this entire episode, one of my favs of the season. Discovery did give us so many exceptional Star Trek memories.

So, this was the scene that some Trek fans were upset about? The reason Spock became the person he was because of how his sister was? What most of these fans forgotten was that Spock was half human and needed someone to help that side of him which not only his sister but others such as Captain Pike, Una, Captain Kirk, Doctor McCoy, Nurse Chapel and various characters helped Spock to who he is.

Actually! Sarek also knew that Spock had the logic of both guarded compassion and the instinct of humanity to find in himself! Michael Burnham had that to give to Spock. Sarek had intuition to define it! And so he did! Michael was the first but not the last!

It was a beautiful moment but as soon as Spock's name came up I knew it would cause trouble. Some people just cannot accept that Spock is not perfect and needed help to become the Spock we know.

@@quincyquincy4764 We knew Spock wasn't perfect. Watch the Star Trek the Motion Picture again and learn how he knew wasn't perfect. The problem that people have with today's shows is that they like to reset the canon to make their creation superior in some way, or all ways, over the past characters. All I can say is "stop sh!tt!ng all over the fans and write something original instead of trashing the past"!

I love Star Trek too I also love Star Wars I love the fact that you're seeing more development more little details in a whole big Trilogy to me the Star Trek Star Wars the Marvel Universe the DC Universe all that is one big giant story that you're learning more of each character just like a book if you add these movies as books. The reason why Discovery has a Holodeck it's because the technology wasn't available in the sixties the why the technology on Discovery as is it's because the technology does exist now thanks to Next Generation there's there's pads which also the fact that now we actually have iPads or Android pads or small computers or or smartphones are now the pads that next Generation uses all the time. Technology is growing I mean seriously they had to pull scraps out of seeing everything just to make the original Star Trek it's the story it's it's what it represents is what we fall in love with and you know Star Trek Enterprise shows you pre-federation and Discovery is in the baby steps and now they're in the future which is fun to watch people from the 23st century try to get that Minds wrapped around the technology. But this is a fiction story everything in this whole thing is fiction except for maybe the technology because the technology gotten more advanced and what it is today is because the technology today is more advanced. As a Star Trek fan too I love the new ones I love how fast the new technology how advanced the computer animation is going or the CG stuff how events that's getting to show more advanced technology. All those people are complaining are just a bunch of bullies who think they can ruin the tire show it's annoying and it's sad and it can't even have a nice discussion about Star Trek without or any movie without a bunch of negative people saying this show is crap and all you want to do is look at them going and why are you commenting on it if you don't like this show and why do we have to hear it that you hate it so much because they're entitled bullies who wants us to agree with them

@@kevinwright4837 I read the synopsis of the episodes and if there is a reason her mother was suddenly hundreds of years in the future, it wasn't meantioned. I have not seen any of the episodes because just reading the synopsis made me realize it was not a very well written show. The audience score for it is 50% for season one where over 8000 people responded, and it was 41% out of just over 1000 people who took the time to rate the show. It looks like fewer and fewer people are returning to watch subsequent seasons and I am honestly surprised they are bothering to film a fourth because the numbers are just spelling out the show is a flop.

Most people don't even know that many of these are in fact, male names.
