@@AdamMark People end up collecting too many things and think that having a certain amount of money will make them happy (neither of which you can take with you); it's having experiences, making memories and taking pictures with the people you love that counts. Always appreciate the people you love and never let bad feelings or anger linger, at some point you may regret it but no longer have the opportunity to say your sorry❣🙂🌹

If you noticed, though, some of the looting was done in the kitchen cupboards for food. The looters were possibly poor and starving. Pretty sure the owners wouldn't grudge that, from whatever realm they are in 💗🌵

There's a lot of 70s stuff in here. The bathroom was 50s with a 70s sink splash back.. Looked like they had to remove the old bath, due to ill health, hence a more modern shower cubicle! A 60s cupboard in the kitchen! I recognise some china water that i worked on in the latter half of the 60s! Lounge unit and carpet 70s and sound system looks 80s! Very nice find 👌

Loved this little cute home! It looked like the man, if he was the last one to pass, passed quickly himself, maybe with a heart attack or such, as with sooo many things left as though he was taken away unexpectedly & didn’t return 😔 The downstairs rooms, with the exception of the 2nd kitchen was pristine!!! I love seeing houses that way, as you can imagine how their life would have been! The vandalism makes me sooo very sad that people can be sooo very disrespectful of other people’s items that they have worked sooo very hard for 😞 The wardrobes, chests, desks & China cabinets were beautiful & could be salvaged & restored! Too bad that a family member or friend didn’t come in & donate some of the very usable items that were left behind!!! The car was in good shape & could have been saved! Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us Adam, I loved it ❤️

So it appears the 2008 date was during their time still alive. The older newspapers from 1936-1941 were likely historical war news items they saved/collected. I found it interesting how the 4 paned windows in the out building's top panes (@ the end of video) were installed @ a slant to help water run off rather than straight up & down which would have caused leakage on the outer seal & window sill. Clever! Thanks for the explore, so fascinating. I appreciate you taking time to note so many things others would just rush by. Those things make a thoughtful & informative explorer compared to an adequate one & sets your work apart! 🙋‍♀️💜✌

Sometimes when a family passes on, the children can't afford the inheritance tax, and they don't want to pay the dump fees either, so they take what they want and leave the rest. Maybe nobody wanted to buy it either. But in this case, with no heirs, the government should have taken it and sold it so it doesn't sit and rot.

We had the exact same cooker back in the late 60’s early 70’s! Wow that brought back some memories. It had a fan heater at the bottom of it and I’d spend hours sitting on the kitchen floor in front of this heater on a cold winter’s morning.

At 9.19 there is a Clarice Clift mug. It’s worth a bit. Hope the owners family come back to reclaim everything 😊
