I don't like the way the trainer behaves towards her & how he calls her lazy before he gets to know her. To start off with a negative attitude is a terrible way to try to inspire people to care about their health. The trainer is difficult to listen to & watch. I'm going stop watching the video if he can't be positive & compassionate. Most people that are obese have been abused or have PTSD. The world has enough negativity without his attitude.

The woman whose father told her she’d never look beautiful in a wedding dress; I personally think that her father had no right to say that whatsoever to her. What a way to mentally scar someone! Parents can sometimes say things to their children that at first isn’t intended to be cruel but ends up being that way. I remember once my mother said to me: you’d be so beautiful if you lost that weight. Now…this statement intended on being harmless but I took it to heart and it mentally scarred me. My mother wasn’t the thinnest either and was eating fried chicken most of the time and she had heart problems as well as diabetes..yet I said nothing to her about that because I was respectful as a person.🤷🏻‍♀️ To this day, I strongly believe that my mother was depositing her insecure thoughts about herself onto me at the time and also what she said really hurt me..but what I would give for her to be here now. She’s been dead for almost 8 years now.

Wow. I have a conversion calculator and have been punching the numbers as I’m listening to this. 55 lbs (25 kilograms) in under 3 months is fantastic weight loss. I don’t know why the trainer said “only” when talking about the woman’s weight loss.

After a mere 40 days she lost about 15 kilos. That's outstanding. To be upset that she hadn't reached the utterly ridiculous target of 20 kg makes me sad. That's almost 2.5 stones. Medical problem? Only in her head and in the head of her coach!

As a victim of emotional abuse from my parents, emotionally cold mother & sarcastic father, I just want to say weight starts first with the heart & soul & then the mind kicks in. If the heart & soul issues connected to obesity aren't addressed first, the mind cannot help you. Just my opinion. I have been heavy most of my life & I take responsibility for it but my parents (& others), comments still echo through me which sabotage any attempt at weight loss. Mum & Dad were very handsome/beautiful & slim in their youth & thought I was to be the same--I am not--far from it. I am proof that a parents lack of understanding towards their child's weight can affect them for a lifetime. The thoughtless comments, disapproving glaces, embarrassment at their daughters physical appearance added up to an unhealthy need for food to console my emotions. Parents, love your kids no matter their size & with that acceptance & love, your child can be healthy physically, spiritually & emotionally.

That trainer sucks. He’s just too judgemental and you can tell he looks down on her. You can’t help someone succeed if you already see them as a failure. He sucks. He’s just like her Dad so she should go find a female trainer with some empathy that can encourage her instead of already judging her before the first session.

I do not agree with the exercise in the beginning… most people have an emotional trauma or years of childhood abuse or neglect or whatever issue like loss of a child or other underlying issues which first needs addressing… next is learning about foods and what are healthy foods & portions ect… next is a complete purge of unhealthy snacks in the home… and stopping fast foods… next perhaps some cooking & food prep lessons … next is learning about what the human body requires daily including 6-8 glasses of water a day … limiting salt to less than 1 teaspoon a day … stopping the bad sugars … and stopping most packaged/processed foods … the last and final step would be the excercises after the weight is within a more normal range… in my opinion .. it puts too much strain on joints and the heart to force someone to run when they are 350 + pounds.

I really think this is the most honest of all of this series I've seen so far. Her partner was challenged by her goals and made his own. Yes, as the showman he is, he went a bit overboard. But he backed down and gave her back the lime light. Amazing. I don't understand the negative comments here. But then, I am not a princess in a cotton candy world. This is reality TV. Go watch Disney if you can't handle it.

We used to have it in the US as well. It was not a supermarket but rather like a low key version of K-Mart : clothes, shoes, bedding, cleaning supplies. Our Woolworth also had a lunch counter and I have really nice memories of being a kid in the 80s and walking with my girlfriends to town center to get a burger and a fountain cherry Coke at the counter. It was a huge treat and we felt so grown up :)

A key to not overeating is, put your fork down between bites or put one chip in your mouth, put your hand down and eat one completely, take a drink of water and wait a second before another chip. You eat less over longer time. Also, order one order of chips to share, don't get one for yourself
