My ex constantly broke dates...some at the last minute. She never did anything she said she would do but expected me to be there when it was convenient for her. That lasted for me about 3 months. I got tired of the constant confusion and not getting answers and cut it off. I like her but I'm not an option.

Yes this advice is to let them come and go as they please, and to be the carefree guy. Meanwhile if you actually care about the girl you will not be happy with this kind of relationship. He is knowledgeable about women but it seems a different approach is needed to make relationships work.

Not always our fault...can do everything right, but if that person isn't ready for a relationship...hasn't healed enough from a long term past relationship...than good luck being a priority. Sometimes your just in a better place in life than the other, and more ready & able to put in effort

Yeah, and if she’s distant it’s not always about the guy. Sometimes women have finals they need to study for, sometimes they have projects they can get really obsessed with for a while and lose themself in. I like his strategy but it’s not good to think everything a woman does is because of him.

Really helpful. I’m solid w this stuff when in single, but forget that it holds true in a relationship as well. Hard to balance being the steadfast presence any person deserves, and playing ball with her deep female psyche which never stops abiding by the rules you outline here. Fine line, withdrawing enough to create interest from her, without being manipulative.

Seeing the questions in the comments the best way I can try to put this scenario in a phrase to remember is this “ You are the Sun, she is the Moon”! You should be doing what is making you happy, and follow your purpose. Don’t focus on her EVER. She is the moon she will orbit around you and your life. You stop doing your job as the sun, the earth will die or you will in a sense. She will be happy and continue to try to soak up your sunlight

Married for 22 yrs and now all this is going on. Guess I have just been way too generous and nice. Even when I do something Really crazy thoughtful and generous, she is happy for 30minutes and back to her life. Extremely frustrating.. I will give this a try, but afraid it's over. She would rather choose anything else in life and not talk at all. Feel like a loser and not worth shit.. We'll see!

That ‘calls you two three times a day’ is not sustainable for long term. And for that example, it could be that she just got a new great job that she is really excited about and went a bit OTT. We’ve all done that with new projects and obsessions. It’s not always about the dude or his fault. The advice is good though about backing off, but I think you should set yourself a time limit on how long you’re waiting around.

Chris Bullock Women who play the field are all about their friends for bonding and support and having fun. They know that men will come in droves because we are attracted to groups of females. The support increases their confidence. Once a woman realizes that she has the power to play multiple men, she will never make one man the center of her universe, so she is no longer a keeper. What most commitment minded men want are women who want to have a man and sometimes hang out with friends, not the other way around. Look for a keeper. They exist but not at clubs. Those are one night stand chicks! I recommend Columbia. Best women to date with keeping in mind. Looks are a dime a dozen in Columbia, if you want a keeper the ultimate intangible quality to look for in a good keeper is compassion!

What if it’s a situation like: she’s constantly busy with school, takes advanced placement classes, has really strict parents, basically has no social life or time for friends in general but she tries to compensate for the time she doesn’t spend with you over text, call, and during lunch break at school along with sometimes giving you gifts and constantly telling you that she loves you, and misses; we’re in hs rn and her goal is to become a doctor in the future so obviously she works really hard, she even takes summer classes for college credit. Honestly she seems severely depressed at times but hides it because she doesn’t want me to see it, she says she’s okay and that she doesn’t I shouldn’t worry about it but she worries about me a lot… she literally cried when I got a scratch… Ngl I think she’s super clingy and dramatic; she always worries about wether she’s annoying me or not too, she isn’t most of the time but sometimes she does. I mean I was the one who asked her out… but I’m still upset that she doesn’t spend time with me outside of school :/ she should be able to make time right?

Some people are just busy working a lot of hours and probably taking classes too, plus family circumstances, plus church, plus hobbies, plus cleaning/ organizing, etc. At the end of the day, they just want to sleep or rest or take care of themselves or finding time to exercise. Not all people cheat nor are liars. I dated a guy once who thought I was cheating because I did not see him often. I couldn't deal with someone accusing me for something I was not doing at all. Obviously I realized it was not a fair situation for neither one of us. I could not compromise my work and I couldn't pretend he was going to be fine with my limited time. We both broke up amicably and it was for the best. In the end, I realized I was not ready for a relationship due to my genuine busy schedule and how exhausted I was. And he had too much free time in his hands. He would not even pick up a book to read nor make an effort to better himself nor clean his place.

As a woman who works a very stressful full time job that requires a LOT of human interaction and management, and who genuinely enjoys her alone time, and is working on turning her side business into a full time income, I can attest that some women may like or love you, but simply do not have the time they wish they could devote to you. This is the worst feeling ever when you genuinely care about someone, but time is a finite resource. If you are confident in yourself you should be okay with being with someone who loves and cares about you but cannot be with you 24/7.

Married for 40years and this last year, I've been alone 95% of the time. She just doesn't have time or feelings for me anymore. Especially Time. She now lives with my son and babysits his 3 boys and comes back home for 2 days and during those two days, she works from home from 8am to 11pm, then she comes out to the living room to watch a show or movie with me but falls asleep in 5mins. Sex has been non-existent for the last 10 years. I don't have any family to go to, my kids never stop by just to visit me and if it wasn't for my little Dog, I'd move on to the next world to see what it has to offer. This one sucks. I try really hard to do all the honey-do's around the house but...I'm 70 now and just do not have the energy or motivation to do anything anymore. Maybe I should just lick my wounds, be thankful for the times we did have together and check out the universe. Being alone all the time, really ways heavy on the heart and makes checking out not sound so bad afterall.

Right but society have the thinking that men must plan and set a date in a relationship. And when we do we try to be constant and set at least one date per week it gets turn down.Perhaps woman should set and plan a date first since she’s so busy. Cause when men plan and woman constantly gets turns down because they are busy it gets tired for us.
