I have strong craving for dirt I have eaten dirt but haven't in a long time .I used to eat cigarette ashes before. I grew up very poor and I heard dirt and ashes cravings are because you're missing certain vitamins or something which makes sense in my case

@@bunnywavyxx9524 yep, i'm studying psychology and in definition on dsm-5-tr, pica syndrome is a syndrome that makes someone eat non-edible things, like paper, it can be as of pleasure, escapism, hunger and other things but i've never seen someone with pica syndrome eat more than one non-edible thing.

Google shows me you either have PICA when being a young toddler just curious to taste the world around you, or when you are a pregnant woman with severe iron deficiency. Most of the stuff she ate countained iron(Iron pins, screwdriver, dirt), so her body just told her she was unhappy and/or/because of being severely malnutritioned(women tend to watch their diet much mor than men, eating less animal products despite needing way more than men due to menstrual/pregnancy reasons). At least that's my take on it.

when people who are unhappy and don't feel in control, it manifests in a manner of ways. it's why people self harm, they get a thrill/release because they finally feel in control and it's something they can focus on (being present) without thinking of other things.

Ok this guy is hilarious 🤣🤣 pica the way he pronounces the word is not correct it's actually "Pie kaa". Also, the combination of depression anxiety and frustration is probably what caused the symptoms. It most prevalent in children in pregnant woman. The main cause is nutrient deficiency. Most likely she's effectively cure from her Picca. 🥰🥰🥰

I have this disease due to severe anaemia but i only ate paper, it is a horrible sensation, after my blood transfusion, it went away completly. Fun fact is that the word Pica, is used as one way to say p&nis in portuguese.
