as a 20 year old who had a baby at 19 (also born in 2003) it makes me sick that she talked about how hard being young and pregnant is without actually being young and pregnant. pregnancy was the hardest thing i’ve went through and on top of that the ridicule that young moms face for just being pregnant. i would sit in my car after work and just cry because i was constantly being harassed and made fun of and told i would be a bad mom. not to mention how many people you lose in your life friends and even family stop taking to you because you’re “ruining your life” and your “not fun anymore”. I’m sure so many people going through the same situation tried to confide in her just for everything she said to be a lie.

Last year I was told I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant. Ever. And i recently got pregnant. It was everything I’ve ever wanted. I’m currently losing that pregnancy. This is so hard and so sad. I cannot believe this happened. I’m so frustrated because it’s so common to go through miscarriage and it’s so hard on so many people. And there’s people like me that have extreme fertility issues and this hurts people with real issues. My pregnancy was an accident with a coworker and not ideal but knowing it could be my only shot, this hurts me so much. I went to a small private religious school and since it was so small everyone was really close. The amount of times I heard the school asking the student body and their parents to pray for so and so’s family because there was a miscarriage or a stillbirth was horrendous, because of this I learned how common it was for pregnancies to end in death rather than new life from a very young age. I’m also someone who has multiple chronic hereditary health issues which has impacted my fertility. To see this random person, who is the same age as me, mock these kinds of situations is disgusting. She is a disgusting human being there is no other way to put it. To think she did this all for monetary gain as well is heartbreaking. This wasn’t a social experiment that was meant to prove some bullshit asinine point. This was a disgusting cash grab. I don’t need to wish her the worst or say anything further because karma is real. I have fertility issues. I was told i could never get pregnant. My little one is now 2. She was born at 33 weeks, exactly via cat 1 emergency c section. She is and will be my only child. I lost her twin 7 weeks in to the pregnacy, was hospitalised 4 times due to HG, had organ failure and preeclampsia and the beginning of HELLP syndrome. I had to make the sad decision to be sterilised as i have hormonal issues and can't be on hormonal contraception, and the iud was not for me. If i had another child, i would most likely end me. Everything second of my pregnancy i was convinced i was going to lose my baby gir and being bed ridden, it was all i could think about. By some miracle shes her happy, healthy, and loving life. The day she asks for a sibling is going to break my heart because i can't give that to her. To have this girl lie like that is her basically laughing at every woman who has had fertility issues. And the smug little smirk she does that end thinking shes cleaver..... i just hsve no words.

I would like to say that sociopathy/psychopathy aren't the only conditions that can limit emotional empathy. A host of psychiatric disorders can dampen different types of empathy, including autism, depression, etc. Even some with Antisocial Personality Disorder (what many automatically call psychopathy) can experience some empathy, even if in certain situations . It's all on a spectrum! Personally, I have extremely limited empathy until it comes to children or animals. When it comes ro most adult humans,I struggle to connect. Still, I'm known to be very nice ad compassionate. People tend to forget that empathy does NOT equal kindess!
