I'm convinced that adult YA novelists and screenplay/script writers must have something wrong with them to be able to place themselves in such mindsets that allow them to 1) get (back) in touch with adolescent fantasies and 2) be able to sexualize teenaged characters to begin with (even if they claim to be "removed" from the adolescent mentality/experience).
