Their versions of equality depend entirely on what they see as comfortable for their own lives. They use it as a means to detract from the fact that’s there’s never been a such thing as equality in all of human history in terms of person to person interactions. Ppl on Twitter would know that if their heads weren’t so graciously shoved entirely up their 🍑’s.

(Edit: We broke up, but life goes on.) I've always been somewhat of a punching-bag for others, I went through nearly 2 years of relentless harassment and became the target of violent people. this all happened in middle-school. eventually when I left I had kept all my emotions repressed, because society made me think it wasn't okay to cry as a boy, so I found myself rarely showing emotion around others, always acting like I was alright. About a year ago I met my current GF, we were hanging out at her house, talking about the happenings at school, when she asked me "Why do you always have that expression?" after that I started crying from remembering all the harassment. I tried my best to calm down, she told me "It's okay to cry NM (My initials) Don't bottle it all up." I was genuinely surprised, I thought she would've told me to "Man-up" like a lot of other people told me, instead she showed me kindness, and I was grateful. She was one of the few people who genuinely cared (and still cares) about me. Flash forward one month after that she goes up to me and says she has something to tell me, so I get pulled aside and she confesses her feelings to me, and thats how I started dating her.

No because my school started a social emotional support group and half the kids there were guys and some of the girls got so pissed because they thought only women had emotions that needed to be tended to. some of them proceeded to get kicked out when one of them brought up how, in our time to speak openly about what was uncomfortable, said those guys should be playing a sport or something instead of being there, and that it made her feel uncomfortable because the boys were always rude to eachother, so "why are they caring about emotions now?". respect to my teacher for making them wait in the hallway before reminding the dudes that that was a safe space for them.

The thing is, since the last couple of centuries society was always male dominated, and they had a superiority complex, while women were considered inferior and framed into particular ways. Men ought to be tough, emotionless, rough and all and women are supposed to be this and that. Either way because of those both suffer, men suffer enough from society with all those burdens and women suffer in a whole lot different ways. Now that women are embracing and talking against dumb societal norms, it seems many men doesn’t do the same on their side. Most of them still are not ready to accept what they’ve lost because of those norms. Either way they created their own conceptions and now we struggle to face the consequences, trying to get out of those engrained in the society. We don’t need feminism or any shit. We just need to realize we are humans. And each other should be treated with love. Now women are trying to get back at what they lost, and not exactly in the right way cause most of them try to put men down instead. This shouldn’t be an argument in the first place, it’s simple as it is.

When I started Highschool, I met this girl that was acting very nice to me. I started trusting her, and even told her one of my secrets I would never tell to anybody else. Two months later she started acting aggressive towards me and I decided to tell it to some of my other friends in that school. The day after that happened when I arrived to the school again I was getting mocked everywhere because that girl had told so many people about the thing I trusted her to keep a secret. I confronted her about why she did that, and she revealed that she was just using me. Then I was expelled from that Highschool and she couldn’t walk again for some months.

The depth of _actual hatred_ that a majority of women _actively express_ towards men, and the degree to which this is _encouraged and supported_ in the mainstream is absolutely *mind-boggling* once you start to notice it. Because yes, if you want to stop men from being full of rage & resentment, the best way to do it is to let them open up to you without fear of mockery or betrayal, instead of bottling it up until it quite literally explodes out of them. Men like me that have been abused can't call the cops for fear of being arrested because we are the male of the household. If we letr ourselves get beaten we are considered weak, if we fight back, we're the aggressor. All we can do is hold our heads down and pray that some day it will end. And it's always our fault somehow. Being abused by someone you love is a horrible, horrible thing, and the wound never heals. Those are the ones to blame, but coming at individuals who have nothing to do with anything besides their own lives that are already filled with problems and god knows what else? not the approache. it's both sad and unfortunate that people go to these extreme measures that do nothing but harm themselves and other people. yeah honestly the amount of crap I've gotten for going through depression and anxiety is absurd. Funnily enough a lot of the hate I've received are from people who go through it themselves, not just those who don't understand it. It's taken me many years to just accept the fact that it's okay to go through this and it's not embarrassing or belittling at all, but damn it took a lot of effort and time to get to this stage. So many people were against me just being in that state and wanting to get better. At some point I did turn into a cynical and bitter person but again people didn't care why or how I was like that in the first place. I'm happy that now I've learned my self worth, I've honestly never been as content with myself as I am now, which I'm grateful for. I don't blame others for my depression but their attitude didn't help at all. Sadly people like this still exist and I hope that they see the error of their ways and support others instead of chastising them for going through something that's completely okay to go through. I also sincerely hope no one else goes through what I've been through.

The following concepts uphold the patriarchy: - certain forms of expression are feminine/associated with women - women are supposed to be weak, therefore femininity must be a sign of weakness - certain forms of expression are masculine/associated with men - men are supposed to be strong, therefore masculinity (or a lack of femininity) must be a sign of strength Upholding gender roles (such as refusing to allow men to express themselves in a "feminine" way) directly harms the feminist movement because they're literally reinforcing core patriarchal concepts. Everyone should be able to be strong, and everyone should be able to be weak. That's a part of human nature; it has nothing to do with gender. Femininity isn't weakness and weakness isn't feminine. Masculinity isn't strength and strength isn't masculine. Femininity and masculinity are just words that were created to categorize and control our self expression. Shaming men for showing emotions, feeling pain, being vulnerable, wearing dresses, being queer, etc. is not only sexist, but it goes directly against what these "feminists" supposedly stand for. If your "feminism" relies on hurting men, it isn't feminism; it's just misandry. When you attack one gender, you attack *all* genders. Not only are these women being sexist assholes, but they're actively fueling what they're supposedly so against.

Couldnt agree more. The worst thing is that alot of people would absolutely agree with you, but the media points out all of the bad people and puts them on display. Its why the word "feminism" and being a "feminist" is starting to be seen as a bad thing by men, because they see the bad people calling themselves feminists and then being outwardly sexist. In reality, all true feminists think like you do but no one ever talks about the true feminists or makes posts about them or puts them on a pedestal. The world is just fucked but im glad there are still people that can agree that what it really fucking needs is true gender equality for any progress to be made in society right now.
