The friend was right, she is thoughtless and rude to constantly have people waiting on her. She's so inconsiderate and I don't understand how the boyfriend or friends could put up with it. I also put some of the blame on the boyfriend because he keeps putting up with it. After 30 minutes or even 1 hour why wait? If you had plans, if the weather is not right, I wouldn't still be there. I will go on with my day.

it's interesting how he called her like "family." i was talking to my therapist and she was saying how if you're around toxic relationships, like your parents, you're more likely to be attracted to people that have similar characteristics like them. she feels like family yet abuses him, gives him food, purposefully says bad things. sounds a lot like what his parents would be like. he can't let go because of that connection she feels like his family and he was prob sad that he had to leave his family and she resembles them. so really, it's not entirely his fault. we all crave love and affection from our parents and if we don't get that, we try to seek it out in the adult world :)

It seems like he went from being abused by his parents to being abused by his girlfriend. She is definitely emotionally abusing him. She seems to have narcissistic symptoms, all of her actions seem to fall in line with the symptoms. She's not going to change if that's the case, she'll pretend like she's trying to get him to relax then slowly go back to being hours late.

Despite the fact she is late you can tell they really love each other. That being said she needs to stop being selfish. Time is super important for everyone. No one has enough time to be waiting on you all the time. It is ok to be late sometimes...not this often.

I personally know someone who is very much like her in terms of lateness. Not dressing up, just late in preparing to go out. She prepares to go out at the time when we were supposed to reach the location, and has to shower, change etc, and by the time she reaches the place, it is at least 45mins to an hour. Sometimes I seriously wish that the restaurants we reserved at would just not let us in so that she can learn from it, but we never go to popular restaurants, only regular ones so they always let her get away with it. It is really hard especially since she is not only my elder, she makes her own mother wait as well, and her mother complains that she has been like that since young and not sure why she is this way.

So I know her position and try to make solutions that suits her the best. Her traits are more likely to be unhealthy INFP (in this case, she uses her Fi function excessively). Try to tell about if she is able to do it, she'll gain more advantages, for example she could date her boyfriend longer so it will increase the preciousness of her adult life, or if her appointment is shopping with her friends, they could hang out longer and more things to buy. Instead, engage her to practice her Ne to press down her excessive Fi. Bring her to a library, a concert, a museum, or simply a park and ask her what she thinks about the place. Always try to make her more talkative by bringing abstract topics, for example art, literature, conspiracy (if they're able to do so), etc. I think she's interested with fashion and beauty, so try to compliment her sense of fashion and try to make her talking about fashion and beauty. But never force her to tell them all. She'll likely choose one or two topics that she's interested in. It'll makes her less selfish and she'll likely easier to find the meaning/value of something. She'll understand people's point of view (people are living for a reason) and try to be more considerate to them. More important key: BE PATIENT. Try to slowly bring her outside more. Be talkative about abstract topics with her. But never force her. Never emphasize that she has to do it for people's sake, she has to do it for her sake. Try to respect her personal value, never compare hers to other's value.

I had a few friends like this..... one offered to pick me up from the office she was close by, but ended up being late for 45 minutes, when I called her she said "You should be happy that I offered to pick you up in the first place."... the 2nd one asked for lunch at 1230, I arrived at the restaurant at 1225 to wait for her. She called at 1230 and said she was just leaving the office and it would take her 30 minutes to get there so I told her I'll order my food and leave at 1330 as I have only an hour. She got mad and said that she had to stop to talk to a colleague, since I work for my own business, it shouldn't matter. That day, I told her "My time is precious too and if you don't respect that, we'll not have lunch any longer." Yes, it would have been best to lose that friend if she is always late and making sure her time is more precious than my own. Friendship goes both ways.

I have a friend who is just exactly like her. Now we are not that close anymore because I cannot take her behaviour. I did not want to feel upset all the time because she always turned up late 2 to 3 hrs, so I chose to keep my distance. With my personality who always try to be punctual, I would never understand this sort of habit. Not that I did not try to be considerate to my friend, but I could not let her do whatever when I knew it's a bad habit that she had to fix. I hope this girl can change and start learning to respect other people's time too.

I like to play my phone for a while after i wake up and i’m very lazy to leave my bed also i take super long to choose my outfits i keep changing and changing but i’m aware of myself and i will feel bad if i make someone i’m meeting wait for me for hours so i wake up extra 2-3 hours early and if i know that i’m surely gonna be late i inform my friend in advance to not leave the house first because i will be late so if she knows that she’s this kind of person she should be more considerate and put in more effort to wake up earlier to prepare there’s no excuses and stop pulling out the if he loves me he should wait for me thing it’s super selfish and inconsiderate!

Here is an easy solution to this. Tell her the date an hour/two hours/three hours earlier than it actually is. So she either comes on time(if she is late lol) or comes early(and experience waiting, maybe she'll understand then lol). Or you can both come late lolll. If you are both late technically you are both on time Lolololol (unless it's a pre-booked event like a bought movie ticket or something)
