Perfect day ( finally) here in Sydney. Ships arrived to great fanfair. First sailing now until 31st may. From Brisbane. Woo hoo.

I almost cried when the foghorns went off - what a besutiful sight!!! Going back to work next week will be soo awesome now to see the ships again as I pass Circular Quay 👏👏👏👏

Another day in PARADISE!

Great footage of a momentous occasion, thank you Adrian. My husband and I went on some of the last cruises is Australia in 2020 and we are booked on some of the first Brisbane cruises this year. YAY! I'm a veteran #health professional who knows (unlike much of the public) that the #pandemic is far from over. In the last three and a half months Australian #Covid #hospital admissions have been higher than ever before (let that sink in!!) - and thousands of Australians have died. Many of my colleagues are not able to work due to being being sick from #COVID19. Despite fed and state govts reducing #Covid19 health protocols, #hospitals have been overwhelmed with Covid patients, and *so-called* elective surgery has been cancelled (meaning that patients with, for example, life-threatening cancer and cardiac conditions are missing out on vitat surgical procedures to save their lives) - make no mistake, this delaying of treatment means that more patients are dying. This goes against my training and two formal health qualifications. Though we will be going on cruises out of Brisbane, we will be taking sensible precautions including wearing masks in indoor shared space. Thanks Adrian for your very informative updates. Best wishes to you and to all cruisers (including ourselves). We will make sure that we reduce the spread of this airborne pathogen - noting that it's the most infectious variant that the world has yet seen. Best wishes, Phil

As someone put it, now circular quay is complete again. One of my favourite things to do when I visit Sydney is cruise ship spotting. Now I’m really looking forward to the cruise I’ve got booked in December on carnival splendor

Australia takes over two years to get this happening . Nothing happens quickly in Australia. Only three states allowing these ship's to berth . Hopeless place .
