She has a belt that clips onto the tuba, so the weight of the instrument is carried at her hips. But, she is also apparently very athletic, I’ve read. Wonderful musician.

Sublime tone! So singing and dolce like an Euphonium so soft, cause both are tubas Euph is technically a tenor one, but i hear most bass/contra tubas be played farty in the lower register, meanwhile she controls her embochure so well it still has that fluffynes and control, hats off to you ma'am, one of the best Tuba soundprofiles i've ever heard 🍀

As a part of the low brass community people give us so much crap about being the bass line of the band but low brass actually has one of the most beautiful and open sounds/tone out of the whole band-

Because tubas are mainly playing together in the background for extra low end support. It's just very rare to see pieces of music that involve solo tuba lines.

Golden vibrato, and as a tuba player, it is very difficult to have such great tone at that register

We had to march with those in high school and hold thek just like that lol. Our BBb Contrabasses were a little bigger and had a deeper warmer sound. I think she is playing a full sized FF Bass Tuba, it had a sweet sound.
