When this game came out, it was really interesting. A game where you had to use resources to attach flashlights to guns, or create melee weapons. This was one of the coolest survival horror games of its time, yet it was underappreciated. This, Rule of Rose and Haunting Grounds all came and went and yet they all deserve some recognition.

@@luvhair255 Thank you. I think it's down to the mainstream media just kind of rolling all the alternative subcultures into one. Simplifying it you know? You don't hear much beyond Tim Burton films and the unfortunate fetishisation of the "Goth GF" which plagues the ladies of the subculture like nothing else. Creepy normies now seem to think that Goths(male or female) are either broken nymphomaniacs or emo kids. But I guess what's good about a niche is that you don't need to pay attention to the mainstream media, chances are it's not your thing anyway. If you look you'll find some truly awesome stuff. Be it Gothic music, films, art etc. But of course the mainstream won't have it. Unless it's Tim Burton or something negative.

Just so you know, my school actually did have a marksmanship club, with .22lr rifles, lol. It was fun. You had to log a lot of time with the air rifles first (pump action pellet guns) before you were allowed to move up.

The audio overlapping isn't an issue with the game, it's the steam multiplayer BS that's fucking it up. I played this on PS2 back in the day (and again last year) and it doesn't normally do that.

Yo i unlocked a core memory of watching my older cousin play this game and it fucking me up as a toddler xD. I distinctly remember a monster that hung from the roof and you can't melee it. My cousin was out of bullets so all he could do was sit there and watch the characters get hung for a reset.

This is, no joke, one of my favorite PS2 games of all time. When I got my PS2 as a kid, I got this, Kingdom Hearts, and FFX with money I earned mowing people’s lawns and weeding their gardens for an entire summer. Beat the CRAP out of this game. Such a nostalgia hit to see streamers playing it.

6:24 They joke, but American schools used to have legit gun clubs. You were taught how to shoot, handle and maintain firearms. Some schools in more rural countries still might have them but they’re not extremely common anymore.

That death at the 8-minute mark is so realistic to how people would panic and die in a situation like that. Everyone likes to imagine, from a great distance, that they'd be impassive and Optimal in their actions during some kind of supernatural horror crisis, but let's be honest here.

I had just put this on in the background when I heard a voice I recognised form one of the Characters... So i looked the game up to be sure and boy was I suprised... and right. Sam Riegel plays Josh Carter and Liam O'Brien plays Kenny Matthews. I Instantly recognised that Riegel voice... Two parts of the Critical Role cast.
