11 ай бұрынIn 1952, Asian American girls had no extra-curricular activities until Ruby Chow created the Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team, the only one of its kind in the world. Despite gentrification, Title IX, and a global pandemic, 70 years later the Drill Team continues to define, represent, and celebrate the evolving Asian American experience of its dedicated, multigenerational participants.

Brings back fond memories of my years in the Seattle Chinese Drill Team. I made lifetime friends with these girls.

It is good to arouse the interest in Heroines in our history and cultural awareness. It would be better if it can be presented in a more Chinese style (not the western military drill style) with some cultural and historical references to the heroines in the real history such as 秦良玉（Qin Liangyu), 花木兰 (Hua Mulan)，穆桂英 (Mu Guiying)，樊梨花 (Fan Lihua)，梁红玉 (Liang Hongyu,), etc.

😮Ruby Chow her children brought my parents. Everytime I cane in they wrent high enough for the register they stood on something for something. Edgewater is never to use pandas again for feet in the gift ahop
