It is really fascinating watching somebody use such convoluted logic for why they are about to destroy their hair. I can't get enough of these videos!

Ive just screen shot your colour chart. My husband always insists my natural colour is brown. Ive spent years trying to convince him that a hairdresser told me it was dark blonde………… and now i have proof. THANKYOU!!!!! 😂😂😂😂

Maybe it's the sprays or styling products she may be using...... but does anyone else think her hair looks crunchy and fried as heck???? In the last clip when it was straightened it looked better but the texture of her hair looks rough!!!

I'm strawberry blonde,but there are lots of shades of blonde out there,people tend to think blonde hair is only the white or golden colors. She's lucky her hair didn't falling out.

As someone who colors her hair with 7.1 medium ash blonde I can tell your hair always looks like brown or dark blonde in the first days. It's getting better after some showers.

I agree with you on the makeup. The fake eyelashes that the young women are wearing today are just way too much. In my opinion. She's beautiful with less makeup.

Her makeup issue is that she is creating 2 focal points and they fight one another. Either drama on the eyes or drama on the lips and neutral on the secondary feature. She should chose which one she feels is her best feature or the feature she wants to captivate with and let the rest of the painting (her face) recede.

I always take multiple pictures to my hairdresser, both for the cut and the colour so there is no room for misunderstanding on either side. My colourist is great, she explains colour so accurately and can pinpoint different tones in the pictures I show her that I may have totally missed - love her! 😊

I have dark blonde hair and I never know what level my natural hair is because it's in that range. I would love to see a video showing photos of ppl and what level they are. Thank you for your videos your knowledge helped me decide to stop highlighting my natural hair for a year now. I was thinking of coloring the lengths to try to blend but your knowledge helped me decide to just grow it out. I want to see the natural color. Like you said color will never look like the natural color. I trust you

I used to watch your videos and have now bleached myself with your tips alone at home I dyed my hair black before and now I'm platinum blonde and it turned out very nice, but it really took some time but I don't want my hair to fall out.

It astounds me how people know they're about to ruin their hair and yet they go ahead and do it anyway.

She could have used colour theory and neutralised it with maybe an orange dye at the same level, or one level darker than her blue colour. It would have made it so much easier for her. 😭 If she would have, she may have been able to dye it a little easier.

I can see why the color names and levels are unhelpful to people doing home coloring. According to the actual color tube (Madison Reed), my current shade is a light golden brown, but it is a level 7. Box colors that are close matches to this shade are usually level 6. To me, my hair looks like a medium golden brown with some highlights. I don't think anyone would ever refer to me as a blonde. On my monitor, that dark blonde swatch you showed us looks darker than my hair! I agree about the makeup- the brightness overwhelms her delicate coloring. I think we all go through that phase, though.

Anyone else watch people dye/process their hair and not wonder why they don't remove their jewelry? I've always removed all of my rings, any earrings or necklaces so that I don't accidently damage my jewelry. Nobody else seems to bother? Does it not actually damage jewelry?

Hi Hair Buddha, I'm catching up with all your videos, I'm also going to introduce my hairdresser to you, next appointment is 29th...I'm 60 years young..I was a beautiful Auburn, and now I have lovely grey/blonde natural and my hairdresser adds some extra blonde, very subtle...she tells me that people pay big money for my natural colour. I remember being fascinated by all the different colours that my natural colour had, red,gold, brown...my mum was a red head and my dad was very dark brown, almost black, and I guess I got the best of them both. I think that one clip that looked different was edited in from another session. There was no green in the front, so it couldn’t have been from that session. But she did a nice job ultimately, persevered and got what she wanted.

I had a problem with blue this week. It was faded and dull. So I just put losely red over it and now I have a wonderfull purple. Losely to still keeps specks of blue for a galaxy shimmer.

My hair is naturally a very dark brown and some years ago I actually successfully bleached it all platinum blonde so that I could put fun colors on it. Did some pink and purple and blue and eventually it remained blue. I did not attempt to keep bleaching my regrowth because I wanted the dark roots and I would just let my hair grow out and did not add any more colors to it. The slight tint of blue remained and I would just trim my hair every few months until eventually all the bleached/colored hair was gone and I was back to my virgin natural dark brown hair. I'd say if you color your hair blue, just be willing to live with it being blue until you cut it off. Not saying I didn't like the blue, I loved it. But even though I stopped coloring it, many many months later the blue was still there and I didn't want to try to cover it up, just cut it off bit by bit until it was gone.

I think people believe unless it turns out Pam Anderson blonde it’s not blonde. I love a mousy dish water blonde, I find it almost impossible to achieve though.

I know all people see colours differently because of how our eyes are build but for me it's a bit greenish.

My hairdresser always tells me to bring a picture if I wanted highlights or color because she told me people see color differently then others which is so true.

Blue is the worst. I did it over a year ago, lost a bunch of length to damage trying to bleach it out. Gave up, and I'm still cutting off blue tips.

I have naturally light golden brown hair, and to this day blonde is the colour I've never achieved. I've been various reds, darker browns and even different shades of black, but I was terrified of bleach! In the end I tried it... and regretted it. My hair just couldn't deal with it, and I had some noodle hair for a while. I'm lucky it stayed on my head and is still there. Never again, blonde is taboo for me.

Only in North America is that brown “ Dark blonde”, coming from DK, that’s brown! I add lowlights to my very blonde hair, I use level 8 blonde, and that’s enough to give some depth to my otherwise level 10 blonde hair. Working in salons in Canada for years, I’m blown away, by the names of colours here! In Scandinavia that colour you showed on the chart will never EVER be considered “ dark blonde”, that’s a medium brown all day long lol :)

Ahh struggling with my daughters blue hair currently. Her hair WAS purple but the second the bleach hit it it turned blue. This was months ago. Since then I've bleached her blue pieces over 8 times (with a 20 vol and not all in one day. It's still healthy.) I've used color stripper, I've also tried bleach wash. Still the blue remains. Pretty sure we are stuck with the blue at this point until it gets long enough to cut it out. I use to always think red was the hardest to get out of hair. Nope it's apparently blue 😂

I don't have courage to do this to myself, I've seen far to many fails and sometimes they lose all their hair, it takes years to grow back!! No freaking way!!

Many people don’t understand color. In art, for example, an ochre can be very dark, wich looks brown to most people but it’s still an ochre. A blonde can be very, very dark and it’s still blonde. It’s not changing color. Blonde kids don’t become brunette as adults in most cases. They can however become a very dark brown. Like blue, wich can be baby blue or a midnight blue that’s so dark it’s almost rivaling black.

I had blue hair for around 7 or 8 years. the only way to get blue out of your hair is to cut it out. took me a couple years of growing it and not touching it but eventually my roots got long enough that I could cut a cute mullet and there's pretty much no blue left except for one tiny area in the back. ppl if you wanna go blue understand you can never ever take it back edit to say: can you imagine how this poor person's hair feels? it looks like hay. it's so over processed and the follicles are blown right tf out. we've all been there 🤣🤣 edit again: I don't mean dying your hair blue one time. I mean having your hair blue and keeping it a BRIGHT BLUE (not blue on top of natural hair, not blue tint, BRIGHT BLUE) for an extended period of time. all these people coming into my comment and giving me a time they died their hair blue once and it came right out. honey that is not what I'm talking about lol

The best way I know to get blue dye out? Time and scissors I saw blue hair from my "temporary" streaks on my stylist's floor for months.

This blue in my hair took 3 rounds of bleach wash. Always use a quality bleach and dedicated developer. Blonde Me is the only one for me. Stay away from Quik Blue. Nothing over 20 volume developer. Slow and steady people.😉

I agree with him about the makeup. It was way over the top. Way too much eyeliner and blush. Don’t know why ppl wear so much blush these days- especially on the nose. Makes it look like you have a cold. I was taught that you’re supposed to wear makeup so that you look good, but in such a way that it doesn’t look like makeup. Like it’s supposed to look natural ya know

Years ago I went from dark brown to blond, however, the hairdresser turned my hair red, a light ginger…I had told her that I DID NOT want any red at all beforehand. Suffice it to say, she had to bleach it again, cause I was NOT leaving the salon. After that, I started doing it at home having much better results…

The hair at her end looks dry and frizzy, and it’s still green/blue. I think the hair needs a lot of hydration. I know my curly hair dries out after I have my highlights, so I always pop on a mask and use oil

Vitamin C does work but not at the same strength as bleach, it's a gentler alternative. I used it in conditioner to prevent damage while I lifted the color from my hair to something more presentable. The process was: Bleached, failed pastel pink, dark blue, maroon, then I used Vitamin C [from crushed C vitamins] which lifted to a rose gold pink / strawberry blondish.

I also like her look with a more natural makeup color scheme etc.

I've learned my lesson the hard way-when bleached, the color on top gets much darker, so if it is medium blond it turns dark brown. Go few shades lighter than your intended color, if covering bleached hair

I wish I knew this channel 3 years ago. Had a spectacular fail trying to go from red< blue < silver. Was impossible to maintain and messed it up so much. 😐

The heavy makeup was a bit too much but the end result of the hair was better than expected and she is happy so that is all that matters!!

The hairdresser colors are soo confusing. I would consider my natural color light brown🟤, but apparently they're 'dark blonde'. To me, my hair looks brown. It has delicate brownish, chocolate'y/mocha tint to them, but it's not dark enough to be lev 5, it's also has some yellowish tint to them. I wonder who came up with this classification, since what most people see as light browns but are technically dark blondes, look much much different from what most people would consider blond.🤷‍♀️

Love your work! Got blue on my bleached parts by accidently doing a henna and not realizing there was blue pigment - after 4 years- MUST CUT OFF BLUE!!!!! P.S. Why would you wear all that jewlery when doing this chemical process????
