Um. There's already been various new versions of She-Ra. Most notably the 2018 version but also the one that was Despara in the 2010's DC MotU comics (and Despara made a cameo at the end of Masters of the Universe: Revolution). Even as a kid in the 80s I watched She-Ra's show too but I was still well aware it was not aimed at 'straight males' (and boys would get bullied at school if they admitted watching She-Ra). The She-Ra toyline was aimed at girls with the dolls and the hair to brush and costumes to change. She was basically a cross between He-Man and Barbie. The reason the Masters of the Universe toy characters such as Hordak, Leech, Mantenna, Grizzlor etc were included was because their toys needed promotion and He-Man's show had already ended. Catra didn't exist in that MotU toyline. She was a doll in She-Ra's toyline and was She-Ra's main enemy in it. The likes of He-Man and Skeletor only encountered the Horde in the cartoon by crossing into She-Ra's show. But in the mini-comics with the toys, Hordak and his Horde were a common enemy of both He-Man and Skeletor in many stories. By the way... 'political agenda reality'? Do you not know about Filmation (who produced those 80s cartoons) and it's founder Lou Scheimer and his daughter Erika who both also voiced characters on those shows? They were very progressive and occasionally pushed the boundaries of what kids cartoons could show back then in regards to acceptance of social minorities. Erika came out as lesbian and has stated that the Filmation offices often joked that Prince Adam was gay. As he was very 'gay-coded' in his outfit and his general personality. And that infamous scene of him in the theatrical release The Secret of the Sword, riding horseback with Bow, the only man in She-Ra's crew, with his pencil thin moustache, cartoon heart on his chest armor which leaves his abs exposed, while Kowl flies above, his stripe ears looking like a Pride flag. Adam wasn't gay but it's hilarious when homophobic folk try to convince themselves that Filmation's MotU was some 'super straight' cartoon. There's reasons it had a huge gay following even back then. Adam still isn't gay in the modern MotU but some of these 'anti-woke' folk insisted he was (and insisted Teela was in a lesbian relationship with Andra even though that wasn't true either) but love to ignore how Adam was (sometimes purposely) not the most masculine straight guy around in the old show.

@@Carnivius_Prime Little boys at that time loved the cartoon. We just did not play with the toys. Also no one that i knew of was ever thinking about Adam as being gay. Nor did we see teela as being a lesbian. Ten year old young boys was not even thinking or talking about stuff like that back then. All we saw was a cool show with he man sometimes in it. Everything else is what is in the now.

@@BigdogGaming-sm3lj No, you're mixing a couple bits up there. Teela was being attacked for being 'lesbian' by people angry at MotU Revelation in 2021. When she even wasn't lesbian anyway. And Adam was often seen as gay. Lavender tights, pink vest and then turns into a superhero with furry briefs and a fake tan. Why do you think that whole meme of him singing that "What's going on" song happened? And that was in 2005. Long before 'woke agenda'. It's not about what "ten year old boys" were thinking or talking about. It's about what was actually going on in the real world and what Filmation were doing. And as I said... some of us boys got BEAT UP for watching She-Ra. It was seen as "icky girly show" like Jem & The Holograms or My Little Pony.

@@Carnivius_Prime I cannot speak on your circle. But in my circle no body cared about what one watch. If we watch she ra.We would talk about that episode if someone brought it up. Other than that no one gotten beat up over watching the cartoon. I guess every fan has an different experience dealing with she ra cartoon.
