Are the single and LP version entirely different takes or just different mixes? At the guitar lead-in to the verse (0:43) there’s a really noticeable 12-string (Crosby?) on the 45 that isn’t audible on the album.

I’m not sure. I believe this is from the album. I do not have a copy of the 45, but I will maybe try to get a copy in my collection, then I could verify for you if there is any difference!
