Merry Christmas! I'm so happy to be posting this video - a tribute to one of my favorite actresses - the wonderful and hugely talented Deborah Kerr.
In my opinion, she has always been the epitome of a true Hollywood star - classy, elegant, gracious, charismatic, endearing and such a versatile actress. She took on so many different roles throughout her career and played them to perfection. It's still unbelievable to me that she never won an Oscar.
I recommend you check out her brilliant performances in 'Tea and Sympathy', 'The Innocents', 'The Journey', 'Black Narcissus', 'The Sundowners', 'Separate Tables', 'The End of the Affair' and 'From Here to Eternity'.

Wow you have put together such a great collection of films here ! I think Deborah Kerr is great. Tough she never won Best Actress Oscar but she was nominated 6 times so that is good recognition of her wide range and talents. She and Jean Simmons are my 2 favorite actresses.

This is such an amazing piece of work! I've only recently discovered Deborah Kerr (along with Greer Garson) and I fell in love with her a after An Affair to Remember! The fact that you captured her essence so well is so deserving of praise 😍 I love this so so much, so thank you for making this gem 💖

This is amazing! She's one of my absolute favorite actresses of the Classic Hollywood era, so I was so excited when I saw in my subscription box. I love your song choice and the clips you chose fit the song perfectly. I love all the parallels you made, too. In short, this is a wonderful tribute to a wonderful actress and woman. Thank you so much for making it. Oh, and it's unbelievable to me too that she never won an Oscar.

I must admit to you, I have actually watched this video numerous times since it was posted, I just haven't had time to post any feedback (with Christmas and New Years)...until now. If I'm being completely honest, I think this is one of the best videos I saw on KZfaq in the whole of 2014 (and it came right at the end too!). Your editing never ceases to amaze me. Seriously, the way you utulize the internal motion of the clips and sync it with the music is breathtaking! I wish I had that ability. Your knowledge of the source material must be extensive as you utulize every little gesture, every hand movement, every wink etc. And it all fits together effortlessly (though I'm assuming it must have taken you hours and hours and hours to manipulate the source material to your advantage). I always get so excited when I see your videos in my sub box because I always know what to expect from you- something INCREDIBLE. And you delivered yet again :) Thank you so much for sharing and, I know I've said it before, but I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Wow...I'm actually speechless. As a longtime fan of your videos, this floored me. I can't thank you enough for your lovely feedback! :) This video was an ongoing project for most of last year because I re-watched nearly all of Deborah's movies along the way to refresh my memory - so it did take a quite few months to edit and compile the clips. The whole process was a lot of fun, though there were definitely a few times when I just hit the wall with it - but I always gained a lot of inspiration from your classic videos and many of the other classic hollywood vidders out there too :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the outcome and I'm definitely looking forward to your next ones too! :)

Te respondo a ti Monica, Tuve la gran suerte de ser amiga de Deborah desde el año 1966 hasta su fallecimiento en 2007, por carta y llamados telefonicos ,No la conoci personalmente porque yo vivo en sudamerica .Cuando yo tenia 21 años me atrevi a escribirle a Suiza donde ella vivia con su esposo Peter Viertel ,y en menos de 1 mes tuve mi respuesta ,ni yo podia creerlo ,no solo una gran actriz sino un hermoso ser humano ,durante todos esos años tuve el gran privilegio de escribirme con ella y hablar de nuestras familias .tengo guardadas todas sus cartas para el que quiera verlas ,FUE PARA MI UNA SEGUNDA MADRE ,ya que lamentablemente mi mama hacia 1 año que habia fallecido con 46 años en un accidente .en mi pais me empezaron a llamar periodistas de todos los medios para que les contara mi inedita historia,no podian creer como habia llegado a ella ,de esa manera ,porque en aquella epoca no habia internet .El dia que fallecio fue una tragedia para mi ,pero jamas la olvidare .Ahora soy una feliz abuela de 79 años y la sigo extrañando muchisimo ,un abrazo Elizabeth

This is such a wonderful video! I've loved this song for ages, and I always thought it would be perfect for a fanvid, so I'm glad someone else has used it :D loved the clips at the start, all perfect descriptors of Deborah and I love the different fun sides of her you captured in the vid :) just one question-- what's the clip of her in the dark at 1:39 before the clip from Major Barbara?

To the creator of this video: I have two Deborah Kerr movie suggestions for movies you might add to your recommended list in the video description. 1. The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. Deborah Kerr plays three different roles in this Technicolor masterpiece by Michael Powell. She probably never looked better on screen, and you get to see her natural red hair color. The movie is glorious. 2. I See a Dark Stranger. This is a wartime spy thriller/romantic comedy, and Deborah Kerr is just hilarious starring opposite Trevor Howard. Deborah Kerr probably started in the greatest number of excellent films of any actress in history. I would take her filmography over the filmography of any other actress.
