​@finnianslair Beauty girl Just a update for you My boy is still fighting I did not let him go down fully I offered food and he ate which was good He only wants bugs won't eat veg or fruits buts that's he diet now I give what he wants no lumps have appeared thank god since removal but he leg has started to twitch and he wobble on he feet when running the cancer has not got any worse as far as I know

Oh, I’m really glad it helped! It’s a tough time for us when they brumate! Girls tend to brumate a bit longer than the boys, probably because it gives their biology a hard reset, and prepares them for breeding season when they wake up! Hope she wakes soon! She’ll be nice and rested for the rest of the year until next brumation!! 😁💜👍🏻.

It was disconcerting, definitely. 😅. I checked her everyday,(as I do with all of them during brumation,) so I knew she was ok, but that was a long stretch!! 😄👍🏻

Hi and Welcome! Nice to have you here! Yes, she really took brumation to heart this year! 😂. It’s actually a new record for her, her last beimation was about 124 days! Not all dragons go into brumation, mainly because we provide them with temperature control and a steady food supply year ‘round! You didn’t say how old your dragons are, buy they generally don’t go into brumation until after they turn two years old. As long as they are otherwise healthy, I wouldn’t worry if they decide to stay up and see the Winter! Some bets will tell you never to let them brumate, which I don’t agree with, but I don’t think you should force it, either. If they do decide to go into brumation, and have been asleep for two full days or longer, then yes, tien off all lights until they wake up on their own. Then, resume their normal light, heat, uvb regimen! If you live in a climate where your twmperatures dip below 60 degrees, get a ceramic heat emitter, that provides ambient heat with no light . Give them a “blanket”, (microfiber towels for washing your car are perfect!) or two and just let them rest. If they decide to stay up, just give them their normal routine and enjoy them! Nope, just short and stunted from improper nutrition for the first two uears of her life, prior to her rescue. She’s only 17” long, should be 22”-24”. She’s also gravid with infertile eggs, so she’s even more round than usual. Thanks for your concern! 😁❤️👍🏻
