Here's one more Kristi Noem parody because I had so much fun making the last one... It's based on the song, "In the Jailhouse Now", written by Jimmie Rodgers and made famous by lots of people. My dogs-- the late Zane and Arran (beagles), and Noyzi, a Kosovar Street Dog, are contributing the dog barking and howling. If I recall correctly, Zane and Arran were reacting to the barking of another dog they knew named Tommy, who, like Arran, was a Tribeagle (NC beagle rescue). Noyzi didn’t know Zane or Tommy, but he was happy to join in the chorus.
Below are the lyrics to my parody version...
There was a gov' named Kristi Noem

And unfortunately, almost all people are mean to nonhuman animals. The average American kills 100 innocent animals per year. 😢 I don't support Kristi Noem in any way. She is cruel. That said, most people support shooting innocent animals in the head--they just do it vicariously and pay slaughterhouse workers to use a captive bolt gun. We humans don't need to eat other animals (in fact, vegans live on average 6♀️ to 10♂️years longer than animal eaters). And innocent animals do NOT deserve to be incarcerated, tortured, branded, castrated, and have their teeth and other body parts cut off (all without anesthesia), then killed at a fraction of their normal lifespans--many dismembered while still fully conscious--just for the pleasure of human taste buds. Everyone can make the choice to get out of an abusive relationship today simply by going vegan.✌🏽❤️🐕🐖🐈🐄🐣🐟🐬🐐🐑🦃🐢 To quote Alice Walker: "The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than Black people were made for Whites or women for men."

Wouldn't it be ironic if Kristi lived a good long life, and when she finally died, St. Peter told her she could only get into heaven if her dog spoke well of her? Now, I don't pretend to know if there IS a heaven, or if dogs can get there, or if there's a hell. But wouldn't it be ironic if it was up to Cricket whether Kristi went to Heaven or Hell?

Aww.. thank you. Both Zane and Arran are missed. We lost them both to lymphoma, after mast cell cancer. Zane was about eleven when he passed in 2019. Arran was 14 when he died last year. We still have Noyzi, from Kosovo. He also joined in on the chorus, but he wasn’t around when we made the video with the beagles howling. We hope he will have a new friend from Kosovo soon… one he knew before we got him in 2020.

Yes… it is truly disgusting, and the fact that she thought this story would appeal to anyone just shows how out of touch she really is with normal folks. I was very angry when I first heard about it, especially given the way she’s trying to spin it as a necessary action. I think I read that she’s now claiming the media is spinning it, and it’s “fake news”. It’s just horrible.

Actually, it's a travesty, that is, a satirical take on a specific work, Buddy Jones' "I'm in the Doghouse Now." (1939). But also political satire as a comical look at a specific political figure or event. (NB: The Jimmie Rodgers version is a direct lift from Buddy Jones.)

You parody was amazing. When I first heard what this 'lady' had done I was appalled - my opinion has not changed one iota. Has Noem never heard of rehoming? In the UK if you can't get to your nearest rehoming centre (mine is about 30 miles away), you can call the RSPCA and they will come to you (I'm pretty certain that would include collecting a goat). I don't like her, and as she is a Trump fan I dislike her even more. Did you know only (I think) 3 POTUS had not owned a dog and Trump is one of them. I posted your parody on my Facebook page - I hope that was OK.

Hi! It’s fine if you want to share the parody. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I actually live in Germany, but I am from the USA. There are many rescues in the USA, and even though this incident happened 20 or so years ago, there were rescues back then, too. Personally, I think Noem is just someone who loves guns. She bragged to the National Rifle Association about how her toddler aged granddaughter already has a shotgun and a rifle, along with a pony named Sparkles. I hope that pony never pisses off Granny. I don’t like Trump, either. That’s why I made a parody about him yesterday. LOL

French and German (actually Alsatian). It was odd. On the radio phone in each would talk to one another one in Alsatian and the reply being in French.

Traditionally a bad dog gets "put to sleep", I'd expect the same for any animal, I've never successfully hunted anything but I respect those that do, especially the ranchers who love and raise their animals and take the personal responsibility for slaughtering them, I imagine a tearful moment and refuse to accuse, but rather respect instead. I highly doubt she got any thrill from it, just a bunch of ninny goat cry babies critizing things they don't have to deal with.

It was 100 percent Noem’s fault that the dog got the chickens. She took her negligence out on two animals that day because she was embarrassed. It’s in her book. I spent a good portion of my life working on a farm. There was NO NEED for her to shoot those animals.

Humane and intelligent farmers and ranchers don't take their animals to gravel pits and shoot them because they HATE them. Kristi Noem failed to properly restrain or train her bird dog, and then was horrified when the BIRD dog attacked chickens. I read Kristi's book. She was NEGLIGENT. That dog died because she didn't put her in a kennel, and left her unrestrained in the back of her truck. She actually hoped the dog would jump out and run away. That is irresponsible, cruel, and negligent. She has a lot in common with Trump, who is also irresponsible, cruel, and negligent.
