Christelle Cherestal it’s Runyu fault. The girl did not want him. Told him repeatedly she only love his brother. But he thought he could have anything he wanted as he is high ruler.

With his womanising ways, taking his brothers love ( heavenly empress who wasn't a great person either) and position, corrupting his sons, and more. Runyu was only that way towards Jinmi because he wasn't ever shown love by his parents, only contempt from the heavnely empress. Always had to concede to his younger brother, which bred envy and hatred. Runyu isn't without blame and definitely not an angel, but he's not the origin of all the misery

Nah, they were about even (with Xu Feng losing half of his powers the day before). Although to be fair, he shouldn’t even have been able to fight on par with Run Yu since they were about equal in power before as well in Heaven when he was backstabbed by Jinmi. So he was able to put up a fight for the sake of “plot”. But probably demonic powers made up for that gap in strength and that “demon king weapon” he used in the clash against Run Yu’s demonic dragon powers was likely overpowered as hell

He could have had one if he wasn't being so greedy and manipulating. There was someone who loved him standing right next to him the whole time but he never realized it and instead focused on separating Jinmi from his brother and in the end caused Jinmi to hate him for lying to her and manipulating her heart and covering up the crimes of others who tried to harm her. What really made me mad was he formed an alliance with Suihe who killed her parents in order to cover himself. If you truly loved her, you would have helped her bring justice to her parents but instead he kept his obsession with her and kept silent while she suffered the heartache. He deserved a lonely ending.

Selfish love isn't real love he could have had someone that loved him but he ignores her even at the end he even selfishly restored her yun elixr that led to the death of his own brother. If you want to see him get a happy ending there are other dramas where he is a good guy and is not toxic it's just not this one🤷‍♀️
